Here comes the return of Kama, the Scorpion look-a-like from the Garou Knights. Honestly, he’s the only Knight member who sticks out because of the striking resemblance to the Mortal Kombat character….to me, anyway. Then comes the awesome OP which is, hands down, the best OP this season (the bias is strong in this one). But seriously, I can’t get tired of the song.
To start the episode off, Wendy’s in a sticky situation, inside the Flying Venus like plant. It took every ounce of control and willpower not to liken the motions of the plant and the inside to anything hentai-related.
Mirajane joins in the battle and saves Wendy quickly but then after Natsu’s attack on the flower that was about to suck everyone in; they get scattered all over the place. Panther Lily gets stuck with the alcoholic, acid guy (Neppa), Wendy gets stuck with Cosmos – the chick obsessed with everything beautiful. Mirajane is paired off with Cosmos’ partner, the cards girl, Kamika.
Lucy, Yukino, Arkadios, Charle and Happy get stuck with this troublesome…and very annoying antagonist, Uosuke. He would seem like the weakest member of the Knights, according to how everyone else was paired off but he’s probably the most dangerous of the five. Definitely the most annoying.
Meanwhile, Hisui isn’t happy about the news that the Garou Knights have come to deal with Natsu’s gang and Arcadios. She says her plan has backfired, so she never intended for her bravado and actions to take this unfortunate turn. But as we all know, Natsu and everyone will be okay even though there in this pinch right now. They always prevail!!
This episode was just action with the usual dialogue and banter here and there. The most promising fights will most likely be: Natsu vs Kama, Mirajane vs. Kamika and Wendy vs. Cosmos. Speaking of the last two…
Even in serious moments, like Wendy facing possible death, Fairy Tail still squeezes a bit of humor into all that tension. It’s something I can appreciate but sometimes, it tends to take away from the seriousness of a situation. Though I guess this won’t have to be taken seriously since we can all guess the outcome. Even if the gang should get injured, they’ll be okay in no time.
Next episode, we’ll see how it all ends and who battles who in the Daimatou Enbu.
After six episodes…it’s still just one day in Fairy Tail.
