This was a fantastic episode because there were all sorts of things being set up.
As I have mentioned last week, there are several different groups playing a role in the plot. We were introduced further information on Salty Dog (what a weird name); who are only responsible for inspecting Globe, but also it’s internal police force. But you can tell that Globe and Salty Dogs organizations, (or at least Daichi’s uncle) is entirely against Salty Dogs’ ways and had forbidden them to make Teppei and Hana wear the Lead Gears (which Salty Dogs chose to override- those no good bastards). On the other hand, Globe seems to be the only ones with good intentions and are being targeted and unknowingly used by Ceo Kube, who is going to be the very root of all the problems that are going to arise in the future. There is a deadly plan being put together and I am certain it won’t be long before we see it happen. One of the few things we know is that they are working on developing Machine Goodfellows (which we have no details of what that is right now) and the ones who are determining the development schedule and all the important parts are the Design Children. Now, I don’t know for sure whether the Designer Children are Moco and Amara, but it certainly appears to be (given how the scenes were organized). On top of that, there is someone else who is in charge, higher up than CEO Kube who as I mentioned, may be going with the name Puck.
But I have to say, there is something weird about CEO Kube and his plans. He too harbors concerns about the Kiltgang (but I bet you it’s because of other matters). They are depending on Globe to buy the required time in order to initiate their plan of the Macbeth Revolution and only the humanity that CEO Kube chooses will survive. I have a dreadful feeling that sectary of his is not one of the humans expected to survive since Puck (or whoever it is on the other line) kept on bringing her up, and Kube or whoever it is kept on talking about their plans. The whole conversation was terribly ominous. I expect this show to make a darker turn when the Macbeth Revolution begins.
As for the Ark Fraction that was introduced last week, while they were no new details about them- I am guessing they are either connected with Salty Dog or Ceo Kube, or hell- either could be both or neither of them. There is also the Intercept Fraction to be accounted for, but the question right now is which groups are part of the Intercept Fraction. It’s a lot of information to keep track of, but I am eagerly awaiting to see how this will unfold!
There were a few things we learned about the Earth Engine today. For one, it is fueled by the power of the Livlaster, which is supposedly Daichi’s life energy. I don’t know whether they mean it in a literal sense or it’s something else altogether, but nevertheless- I am very curious of how this will effect him in the future, whether or not there will be a time (and I am sure there will be) when the Earth Engine consumes/uses up too much of his life’s energy and what kind of consequences he will face.
The name of the key-gun is called Livlaster. Hana didn’t know a second one existed (or she had chosen to keep it to herself), but has her own which is under the custody of Globe and Salty Dog. Apparently she is unable to use her Livlaster and so that’s why they trained Teppei in hopes he could use it. It is believed to be an energy generator, that has it’s own will. I do wonder about that because the way I see it right now, it may depend on how powerful the user’s will is. Daichi had showed us today that it can be summoned by the user who can wield it despite it being contained elsewhere because we all knew that he was pissed off with the whole Lead Gear crap and wanted to free his friends.
It was hilarious how laid-back Daichi was about the whole situation when he was being informed and somewhat, interrogated. But as silly as it seemed, by making himself look more like an idiot (which he isn’t) than an threat can work to his advantage. It was good to see Daichi endure the pain by crossing over the boundaries of the Lead Gear, but when he summoned the Livlaster, it felt really random. I don’t know if I missed it being mentioned, but if not- I kind of wished they explained it a bit better than just having him consciously summon it out of the blue. It was entertaining however to see him wipe out the system so that his friends Teppei and Hana can be freed and join him at the coast.
Last but not least, Peter Westvillage is an interesting character. He is the Science Chief, presently doing research on the Livlaster. There is an air of mystery around him and he seems to be keeping some things hidden under the carpet, not wanting to share too much information with the Salty Dogs.

Just watched this today, and it’s actually better than I expected!
I’m glad that they made Daichi fight recklessly and (maybe) broke several part of Earth Engine (lol for that ugly fight) and explained how that gun appeared out of nowhere. Too many unexplained miracle could ruin this show for me (-_-)a
btw, I went aldfjalfsjdkfg the moment I heard the aliens pair’s voice. It’s been a while since I heard Sakamoto & Suzumura as a pair, and I absolutely love them, moreover as a PAIR xD
