“We’re not monsters we’re holy spirits!”
Impression:
Oh god what a brutal episode. I mean we all knew things were going to get ugly and shit was going to hit the fan, but the results were even worse than I anticipated and since the students didn’t want to believe it and soon enough most of them were massacred on the spot. And most of all, I honestly almost couldn’t believe it when Shouko betrayed Haruto like that after discovering that he wasn’t human like Saki and kept everything a secret from her.
However as result of the betrayal, it cost them the life of one of our beloved Valvrave Pilots, Inuzuka. He selflessly protected Shouko and the others who betrayed them, and had naively believed that by agreeing to hand over L-Elf and Haruto to ARUS that their lives would be spared. Unfortunately it’s a natural thing to act delusional in a situation like that, but it was Inuzuka paid the price for them. Its suck that Inzuka had been killed off because he’s a sweet guy who looks out for others. The only positive way to look at this is that he can now be reunited with Aina (remember that sweetheart?), and held onto her belief/perspective that they are not monsters, but Holy Spirits.
I think the most TWISTED part about this episode is the fact of all things, ARUS and Dorrisia DECIDE BECOME ALLIES UNITED TOGETHER TO PROTECT HUMANITY (HA HA HA HA) AGAINST MODULE 77. Like WOW, jfc that is so messed up. But that’s the Magius for you, the manipulative puppet masters from the shadows of hell (I’m looking at you Cain you piece of shit). The Council of Hundred and One have no qualms playing dirty, generalizing the entire module and framing them for their crimes (harvesting humans) by deliberately giving Golden News a tip off about the Phantom ship within the module. In reality, it makes you wonder out of all the students, just how many Neo-Magius species like Haruto and the others are there really? In reality it’s really only a handful as it has always been crystal clear that not every student is like Haruto and the others, so watching the massacred was incredibly dreadful because the reality is that the majority of the students they didn’t heal and come back to life. Hell I am pretty damn sure that Shouko isn’t one either, it doesn’t seem to be something her father would have allowed happen to her.
Another big (but short) event this episode was the fact Haruto is now starting to lose his memories and lost a vital one when it could have made all the difference when Shouko had brought it up again (actually you know what, it probably wouldn’t have). And what sucks the most about it is that they were just talking about it last week and BOOM “you’re not Haruto” shit happens. *HEADESKS* Anyhow at this rate, Haruto may very well be killed off.
As whole it was quite a frustrating episode to watch, and it did a good job to make me angry with Shouko (I can hear the haters booing at the fact she wasn’t killed). I think the most frustrating part about Shouko’s reaction is that you’d think she would be a bit more understanding. Of course I can’t entirely blame her due to the circumstances and the psychological stress she has been going through. However it was wrong (and we all knew it would come back to bite him sooner or later) of Haruto to have kept the secret about their abilities, (he should have explained everything from the get go as soon as he had returned to the moon with the help of the researchers they had rescued), and to have blurted out that they were going to mention the Phantom ship later (wow man talk about bad timing). I am also sorely disappointed that we had like seven seconds of screentime with Saki and A-Drei, who just as expected asked her about L-Elf. I NEED LONGER SCENES BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM!!!! Oh and The Council of Hundred and One + Cain can go and rot in hell for all I care.
RIP INUZUKA, you will be missed ; ___ ;
Inuzuka is an immortal. His runes doesn’t seem to have dried up. It is possible for him to have survive even a blast like that.
TQ
Well, unless his body can magically regenerate what has been blown up into smithereens of nothingness, I have my doubts ; v ;|||
Well, from one of the previous episodes which KINDA (they did it very blatantly at the start of the episode, doh) showed that probably everyone except two Valvrave pilots and L-Elf (maybe) will not make it to the series’ end (which is probably not this season seeing there’s not too many episodes left to finish it without being in a rush, unless they intend to leave it as an open ending). Which means, Inuzuka is most likely KIA, and is probably not going to return except in memories (I’m guessing).
RIP

I’m guessing that they all are, but their true genes are dormant unless triggered by a valvrave. Without the trigger, they are just the same as ordinary humans, until they forsake their humanity by deciding to pilot one of the valvraves. Unless those scientists have supernatural foresight to see in the future, they don’t have a clue who will be piloting these machines. Most likely, all of the students are genetically modified so they can have an abundance of pilots.
I was thinking about that last night and I think you’re probably right about their genes being dormant until triggered by the Valvrave when they accept “Do you reign as a human being”.

This reminds me (for obvious reasons) of Gundam 00 where
the nations (Union, AEU, HRL) united to destroy Celestial Being (Gundam Meisters and Crew), previously thought to have been made to save the world.
Oh yeah definitely. XD (God I loved Gundam 00, one of my favourite Gundam Series)
