Hello, nice to meet y’all! I’m the most recent addition to the AngryAnimeBitches team, and I go by the nickname sidekick! I’ll be blogging some anime from the upcoming Winter 2014 season. It’s my first time writing for an anime blog, but I do hope you guys can enjoy reading my thoughts and opinions on anime, shallow as some of my opinions may be.
I’ve been watching anime since I was 6 or 7 (my first anime was Yu Yu Hakusho, I know it’s not exactly the most child-friendly anime but whatever!) but I really only began religiously watching anime and reading manga since I was about 13 or so. I’m generally open to trying out most anime, but I’m not the biggest fan of genres such as Sci-fi, horror or mystery (although there are exceptions). My favourite (I use British english alright!) genres are Romance, Drama (not a big fan of Mari Okada though), Psychological, Slice-of-Life (no, not K-On Slice Of Life but something like Natsume Yuujinchou) and Sports. Yes, sports. It’s a bit of a misunderstood genre and is a bit under-appreciated so I hope maybe my blogging of sports series can convince you to try some out (-:
Some of my favourite anime (excluding the ones I’ve mentioned in the Team’s About Page) are Black Lagoon, Hyouka, Welcome To The NHK!, Gurren Lagann and Chihayafuru. I’m always looking for a new anime to add to my expanding list of favourites!
Think I’m about done, better stop before I start rambling! I’m looking forward to writing for the blog and sharing my opinions on anime I love (or hate or whatever) as well as getting to know more like-minded anime fans out there!
