Eva: ERRRRR YOU KNOW WHAT EVEN THOUGH IT’S DIFFERENT TO WHAT WE EXPECT GUNDAM ANIMES/OVAS/MOVIES TO BE— I AM GOING TO WATCH THIS. IT IS DEFINITELY DIFFERENT, BUT I NEED MY GUNDAM DOSE. I REALLY DO. PLEASE BE BETTER THAN GUNDAM AGE!!! /SOBS
Vantage: I’m not really a Gundam person 😀 So I’ll be passing on this.
Chris: I don’t really watch Gundam shows so… (insightful, I know).
Oki: I love Gundam for what it is so I’m not interested in this? It seems kind of…cheesy.
Charl Meister: I’ve never seen any Gundams…and I don’t really plan to start watching any now – probably will since I’ve never watched many – if any – mecha anime.
Dan: As Eva said, totally different from what we would normally see in a Gundam series, but I am totally willing to give this a go! I NEED MY MECHA FIX. Especially since this seems to be high on gratuitous mecha battles. And it’s gotta be better than AGE, right?

Trailers: PV 1, PV 2,
Summary: The story revolves around a group of 5 glasses-wearing high school boys and their relationship.
Team Impression:
Eva: …… I don’t know how I feel about this. It just seems… weird.
Vantage: Alas, it should have been 5 glasses-wearing high school girls. Even though we get enough of that already…
Chris: “5 glasses-wearing high school boys and their relationship”… this ‘relationship’ is purely platonic… right?
Oki: I….I actually……I mean…I hate slice of life….but….so…… /dies
Charl Meister: Slice of life + Glasses boys + possible fujoshi goodness= Paradise~! I cannot stop this love I have for the four-eyed male creatures!! And they’re so beautiful! I must give this a try.
Dan: I’m confused. I am not sure how wearing glasses forges some super friendship. I don’t think I care.

When he comes to Seirin High School, he meets the super-ordinary boy, Tetsuya Kuroko. Kagami is shocked to find that Kuroko isn’t good at basketball, in fact, he’s bad! And he’s so plain that he’s impossible to see. But Kuroko’s plainness lets him pass the ball around without the other team noticing him, and he’s none other than the sixth member of the Miracle Generation. Kuroko makes a pact with Kagami to defeat the other members of the Miracle Generation, who have all played basketball at other schools. A battle of light (Kagami) and shadow (Kuroko) begins!

Eva: *SOBS* In the end, due to our schedule Linzz and I weren’t able to finish the coverage for the first season after I had to drop it just a week before I went on my health hiatus. It’s kind of a rule for myself to finish the first season coverage before beginning the the second one… Well if nobody else is interested, I’ll jump on it (and someday finish the first season coverage when I have time). It’s such a good show (as well as the manga- you guys should read it… I’m a bit behind though… welp need to catch up) Also could we all take a moment to appreciate how awesome the first PV is?!
Vantage: I haven’t seen the first season, unfortunately.
Chris: Yeah son! This is the anime! As homosexual (or not, I mean, Kuroko’s for everyone) as this may sound, I loved the first season and, well, I guess it’s only logical that I watch the second season. That said, I’m not up for blogging about this next season because, you know, I’d rather watch a show like this carefree… don’t want that bloggers mindset getting in the way, you know?
Oki: I hate basketball fjhgkjldfhdk
Charl Meister: Free is where it started and ends for me where sports anime is concerned. Full stop.
Dan: Didn’t see the first season. Whoops.

At that moment, he ran into another lost freshman from the same school, Yanagisawa Mitsuo, and they hit it off at once. Somehow arriving at their intended goal just on time, there appeared in front of the two a beautiful girl holding a bouquet of roses. The girl then whacked Mitsuo across the face with the bouquet and handed the flowers over to him. “Freshman, congratulations”, was all she said, and then left. The stylish, well dressed, perfect woman that had swung at Mitsuo was his childhood friend, Kaga Kouko. As children they had promised to marry each other one day, fulfilling their dreams. In order to escape from her, Mitsuo had gone out secretly and taken the examination for this well known private college, but now she showed up in the freshman orientation hall. She too had taken the law school entrance examination, catching up with him there.

Eva: Created by the same author of Toradora, YOU BET YA I AM WATCHING THIS! I really look forward to this, been psyched about it since I heard about the announcement of this being green-lit! I hope it will be just as good or better than Toradora in it’s own way- sadly I am not a huge fan of the character designs.
Vantage: Looks promising! I haven’t watched any good romcoms lately, either (Oreimo no longer classifies as a good romcom).
Chris: Yes. I’m sorry but, shows like this are the reason I watch anime. Romantic comedies? Count me the f*ck in. Actually, count me the f*ck out. Too many shows. Too little time. You get this jist.
Oki: DID SOMEONE SAY TORADORA?
Charl Meister: I’m not sure I’m feeling this one.
Dan: This sounds fairly promising! Visually it’s kinda meh, but I am always up for romcom action.

Team Impression:
Eva: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! ;A; Oh L-Elf please be okay, I am so worried about what A-Drei is going to do to him! ;A; DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH MY BABY!
Vantage: Admittedly I was a bit late jumping on the bandwagon, but I am definitely excited for more insanity!
Chris: Yes! I’ve been waiting for this for so long an entire season… let’s end this together Valvrave! Show me that rape filled goodness! Seriously though, I don’t watch many mecha shows, but for some reason this one caught, and held, my attention last season. As convoluted as the plot is, I like it, and that’s all that matters… sort of.
Oki: It’s Valvrave- Even if I could blog it I kind of find the series lackluster.
Charl Meister: Never saw the first season and I’m not too sure if I’ll ever get around to watching this even if I squeeze it into my already cluttered anime watchlist.
Dan: CONVULSES. VALVRAVE, BABY, YOU DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH I’VE MISSED YOU. Finally, Saki I’m-Too-Fabulous Rukino will be back in my life.

Summary: Second Season of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, set in Magnostadt.
Team Impression:
Eva: Oh man, the minute I saw the first PV I headesked- what are they thinking? It was already messed up enough as it was in the first season!
Vantage: If only to slander it, I suppose I’ll sign up for blogging this. Magi is a great manga series…it really doesn’t deserve a sub-par anime project like the derailing A-1 Pictures gave its first season. I sense pacing issues and plot holes!
Chris: Are they going to go back to the manga’s plot? I don’t read the manga and so I guess it didn’t bother me that much two seasons ago when they went for that anime only ending (I actually really enjoyed the first season so…), but I like the idea of being able to pick up the manga whenever I want (in conjunction with the show) and read on… that said, it’ll be what it’ll be – good or otherwise.

Vantage: Japan really does come up with all these radical ideas. Uh…it can’t hurt to give this a try?
Chris: It would appear that they’re finally running out of original ideas…
Oki: It’ll probably be really good, but I already have my quota of batshit.

So this is going to be a super hero show that looks awfully like Power Rangers… but it’s a question of whether it’s going to be good or not… It’s original so lets see how this turns out.

Team Impression:
Eva: The long awaited and highly anticipated TRIGGER production is finally airing!
Vantage: This looks hyped, and probably with good reason. You’re less likely to go wrong with original productions, and it’ll be fun to see uniforms giving schoolgirls special powers 😀
Chris: Yeah! I’m up for watching this! I know the ‘high school genre’ is usually mocked for it’s overuse but, honestly, I really like it and I’m sure a load of other anime fans out there do aswell… I presume that’s why it’s still so popular? Summary: Otaku Sakamichi Onoda has just entered high school and plans to join the anime club. In middle school, Onoda didn’t have any friends with whom he could talk about anime, games, Akihabara and other otaku things, and he is hoping he can make such friends in the anime club, but he finds out it’s been disbanded. In order to reestablish the club he tries to find 4 other people who would like to join. Since he was a little boy, Onoda has ridden his mamachari—a bulky bicycle with a step-through frame mainly used for short rides, such as for casual fun or to pick up groceries—to go to Akihabara every week to check out or buy otaku things. Fellow freshman Shunsuke Imaizumi and bicyclist, while training, notices a boy (Onoda) riding his mamchari up a steep road.
Freshman and road racing cyclist, Shokichi Naruko visits Akihabara to get some Gundam plastic models for his younger brothers and meets Onoda who catches his attention because of the his cycling skill on the mamachari and later find out they go to the same school. Later on, both Naruko and Imaizumi try to convince him to join the bicycle racing club, but will he?
Team Impression:
Eva: Wow this is supposedly going to be a three-cours series! The last cycling anime I’ve ever watched (let alone, I think is the only one actually exists up till now) was Overdrive. I enjoyed watching that one (despite the fact it wasn’t perfect) and had recently rewatched it a couple of months ago so I will definitely be giving this show a shot.
Vantage: Three-cours? Wow. This might be one of the few sports shows I’m actually interested in.
Chris: The boy at the forefront of this anime looks like one of those annoying, whiny, over dramatic, whiny, whiny bitches that I don’t like watching in my anime… That is all. Then again, this could be the next Kuroko no Basuke, who am I to judge?
Oki: Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

One day he found himself transported to a fantasy world where elves live and dragons fly. And he is given a task—not to fight monster or embark on a quest, but to enhance cultural exchange by becoming a “moe missionary” in this fantasy world! He meets a palace guard who has a bit of fujoshi taste, a half-elf maid, and the empress who is a little girl. He comes up with the idea of building a school. Team Impression:
Eva: The ultimate question is: How will Log Horizon fair competing against SAO? Well there’s one thing for sure, if it’s get the success SAO had, then people are going to start looking for the novels, and once that happens there’s a chance for those novels to be licensed as SAO’s LN has just been licensed by Yenpress. As for whether I am watching this, yes I will give this a whirl – who doesn’t like plots about players getting trapped in a online game that could kill them for real?
Vantage: What a…unique and innovative concept! But yeah, the comparisons with SAO will be all over the place with this – for better or for worse.
Chris: My shotgun pick of the season. Allow me to explain: A long time ago an anime called ‘Sword Art Online’ came out and, ever since Log Horizon was first announced, fan boys have been flocking to their beloved Sword Art Online’s defence… here’s what I have to say to you! I’ve read the first light novel! It was good! It was different! And another thing… Tron did the whole ‘tranported into the deadly video game world’ story first… just saying, Sword Art Online isn’t ‘the first of it’s kind’… And another thing! I like fantasy shows with romance aspects! It’s my thing! Check out my ‘Preferred Genres’ on the ‘About Us’ section of the site if you don’t believe me…
Oki: Why does everyone try and be SAO, or Dot Hack more specifically? I mean, SAO made me angry because it was essentially .hack GU, and now this? To be honest though, I hope it beats up SAO
Charl Meister: Another anime I’m not really feeling this season. But I’ll give the first few episodes a look.
Dan: I’ll definitely watch the first episode; I’m interested to see how it compares to SAO. I’m a fan of the whole holy-crap-I’m-trapped-in-a-game-and-it’s-life-or-death concept, and I really enjoyed the first third of SAO (the latter parts… we’ll pretend they never happened). So yeah, let’s see what Log Horizon has to offer!

Team Impression:
Eva: Ugh.. I absolutely HATED White Album, I hated every character and I absoluetly despised the OST (excluding the vocals). I sincerely hope this one doesn’t go through the same shit like the first one and at least have a likeable MC.
Vantage: If it’s not directly related to the original series, then I might try this out.
Chris: I would but… no. I’m preserving myself for the Grisaia no Kajistu anime… Sobriety! Chastity! I’m all yours Grisaia…!
Oki: Ew no.
Charl Meister: Well seeing that it’s not a DIRECT sequel, I won’t have to bother trying to go through the first installment. I’ll try it out.

Eva: Why does this remind me so much of Princess Lover???? AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THIS WAY? I don’t understand why, but I just do! I am definitely interested in watching this (hurray for sports x romance THERE ISN’T NEARLY ENOUGH OF THESE, who cares if it’s eroge game as long as it’s good!). I just sincerely hope that this doesn’t end as a god damn harem!
Vantage: I’m in this for the romance, not the odd…jousting tournament theme.
Chris: I watched the PV and… that gay looking guy ruined it for me. I can tell that all the girls are going to love him and that’s going to annoy the f*ck out of me… I’m sorry, but I can’t blog about the show if I’m going to be bitching about that guy all the time…
Oki: Noooooooooooooooot interested.

Wielding the strongest anti-primogenitor spirit spear, Yukina arrived at Demon District, Itogami City. What is the true identity of the Fourth Primogenitor, Akatsuki Kojou, she encountered over there!?
Team Impression:
Eva: Well it has my attention so I will definitely be signing up. I just hope it doesn’t freak me out too much or anything…you know with the too much blood/gore hahaha- /SOBS That’s the only thing that stops me from watching/covering a good show.
Vantage: Oh wow, this looks cool! If it turns out great I’ll have trouble stopping myself from reading ahead with the manga, like I did with Shingeki 😀
Chris: I actually read the manga last night in an attempt to… get a little taste. I liked it. It was fun. It was interesting. I’m in. And the female protagonist is hot!.
Oki: OH MY GOD IT LOOKS SO COO- /slowly backs away from everyone else
Charl Meister: YUUUUURR!! Definitely watching this!!

Team Impression:
Eva: Man we’re on a roll this season with Sports! 😀 First Basketball, then Cycling, Pro-Wrestling, Jousting, and now Baseball! Well you know what, I am not a huge baseball fan, but since this isn’t some sequel like how I’m used to seeing for the majority of the time I’ve been seeing over for the past few years, I AM GOING TO GIVE THIS A SHOT! Actually it might be better that I don’t know anything about baseball except for the strikes because then I can’t get all caught up with my logic of the game, when this is simply fiction- well this rule should be applied to KnB because of the considerably unrealistic abilities the “The Miracle Generation” have.
Vantage: Baseball? No thanks, even if it’s Production I.G.
Chris: I guess this is the sports season? I don’t watch sports show… I’m sorry okay? I can’t… no… I don’t even watch baseball! They don’t have baseball in England! In fact, I’d be more adept at reviewing the jousting show! It is Production I.G though… No.
Oki: I HATE ALL SPORTS MAN
Charl Meister: Baseball? Really? Is THAT the sport you’re going with?? Give me some tennis, some gymnastics. Goddamn.
Dan: I’M SORRY, I AM NOT INTERESTED IN BASEBALL IN THE SLIGHTEST. I just wish they’d hurry up and make a volleyball anime. I would watch that like whoa.

Eva: WAIT WHAT-WHOA!!!! OMG. SERIOUSLY? IS THIS REAL LIFE?! OH MANNNNNNN I AM PSYCHED! I suck at the game (it’s no wonder, my hands can’t keep up anymore hahaha/sobs) and never beaten/finished it though much like 90% of my other video games. Anyways I look forward to this, hopefully it’ll be good. I am not 100% sure whether I’ll be interested in blogging though.
Vantage: I’ve never played any of the games xD The character designs look pretty sweet though, so I might try this nevertheless.
Chris: H I was going to play the first game in the series but… I don’t know, it’s just not my thing, y’know? Plus this looks like one of those shows where I wouldn’t remember the main characters name, let alone everyone elses.
Oki: I DON’T WANT IT MAN
Charl Meister: This looks beautiful *u* I shall watch. And I shall HOPE…hope to be happy with the progression of this.
Dan: Has a cry because video game adaptations are never as good as the original (see: DeSu2, Dangan Ronpa). BUT I absolutely sucked at BlazBlue and didn’t get very far before I gave up, so I will probably watch this since the plot and characters seemed pretty cool!

For example, he would have to choose between going nude from the waist up or the waist down in school. While in school, he is given another choice: 1) A beautiful girl will fall before him or 2) he will fall from the rooftop in female clothes. He chooses option 1, and a blonde girl named Chocolat falls before him.
Team Impression:
Eva: I don’t know, the story doesn’t really appeal to me. It’s a unique one alright. I will watch the first episode to find out how I feel about it, it’s too early to jump to conclusions.
@Vantage: NouCome is the abbreviation.
Vantage: Unfortunately, the obligatory romcom with the ridiculously long title doesn’t look like it’ll live up to last season’s Oregairu…but fair enough, still looks fairly entertaining. How are they abbreviating it this time?
Chris: Stop luring me in with these romantic comedies! I can’t resist… why?! I… must… review… the first episode…

In her second year in high school, she transfers to a new school—a night school for entertainers and celebrities—due to her father’s work. There are rumours that vampires exist among the student body, and Yui ends up living with the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers.
Team Impression:
Eva: The minute I heard about this otome game being green-lit I buried my face in my hands going, “Oh my god…”. I really don’t know who this will turn out because of the said nature of the ‘romance’, so I can guarantee you that I won’t be covering this. I’ll probably watch the first episode to really get a better look at how cray cray this game actually is, but I already know in advance this is definitely not my cup of tea and I will probably drop it fast. On the extra note, it’s pity how the character designs turned out to be- Diabolik Lover’s game art was one of the main highlights. Actually you know speaking of which, it’s a bit sad that people assume the game is going to be great based on how good the art is. :\ This is the trap a lot of people fall into.
Vantage: By any chance…do they happen to sparkle in the sunlight?
Chris: Ew.
Oki: I mean. . . . I think the concept is super hot…cause I’m a girl with issues….but we’ll see how creepy it is.
Charl Meister: LMAO @Vantage xD Another Otome game adaptation. Well what can go wrong? I’m used to the “black & white” female lead. Hopefully these vampires add some spark-…wait…no…man they better be interesting to complement their female counterpart!! I do not want to have pains giving this a try.

Eva: I have been looking forward to this one ever since the very first promo came out- the one that we were initially told was simply a commercial advertising their company, much like Free’s. I am really pleased to see KyotoAnimation try out different genres and styles rather than focusing on the ‘Moe Factor’ that we often see from them. The animation looks absolutely spectacular in this one as well as the character designs. The story definitely has my attention, so count me in for blogging this one if I get the chance to. Overall Thoughts
Eva: After an incredibly lousy Summer season (I ended up only watching four shows, and blogged two of them), I am so relieved that there’s a TON of shows I am actually interested in watching and have great potentials. The following shows that I am looking forward to the most are Kakumeiki Valvrave Season 2, Kyoukai no Kanata, Strike the Blood, Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai, Nagi no Asukara, Galilei Donna, KILL la KILL, Golden Time. I signed up for handful, but it all depends on how my schedule is since I am working full time now. I expect myself to be covering five, but if too many are all on the same day + the day after, then I’m going to have to step down from a couple.
Vantage: Fall at last! Fall’s always been a good season for anime, and this looks like no exception. While I actually watched quite a few shows last season (I was on summer break after all) hardly any of them managed to really wow me, which hopefully won’t happen this time round. I’m most looking forward to Valvrave S2, Kyoukai no Kanata, Nagi no Asukara, Pupa and Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai. Only the latter is a guaranteed blog for me, especially with Monogatari and perhaps Naruto continuing into Spring. And as usual, I’ll play the sequels magnet – Freezing S2, Infinite Stratos S2, Magi S2 and LB Refrain are gonna be great! Or not so great, actually. Let’s just hope everything doesn’t turn up all at once on Thursdays.
Chris: Thank God for the Fall season! Seriously, I’ve been bored out of my mind with the Summer season… and now I have to go back to school and review all these shows at the same times? I’m going to die under the pressure of blogging and homework… damn you life! That aside, I noticed that there were an abundance of sports anime this season and I’m not all into that so… yeah. However, this season is offering much more variety than last season and I like that, it means that I’ll probably not get bored (as I did last season) and also means that I’m going to have a lot to blog about… f*ck me… The shows I’m most looking forward to? Golden Time, Log Horizon, Pupa and Strike the Blood.
Oki: Hooray, this season actually looks GREAT! The problem is in of course the usual LET’S MAKE MONEY OFF A CONCEPT LONG DEAD shows that I absolutely despise. Can you say SHUT THE FUCK UP SOMETIMES guys? Cause uhm…I’m sick of slice of life moe crap. I’M SO SICK OF IT. THE HORSE IS DEAD. IT’S DECAYING. THIS HORSE IS SO DEAD THE GODFATHER WOULDN’T PUT IT ON YOUR BED. Stahp it anime studios, staaaahp.
Charl Meister: There isn’t much that interests me right here. I have been suffering an anime burnout lately…as a matter of fact, I just have a major burnout of sorts right now. So, consequentially, nothing looks as good as it would have – or at least that’s what I think. I wasn’t too disappointed with my Summer shows because I was picky as hell about what I watched and I never dropped anything (besides that godforsaken Kamisami doo-doo). So yeah, I’ll probably recover now that I’m back home and without work stress to tire me out. And I’ll probably find more of these shows to be interesting.
Dan: Well, this looks a lot more promising than the summer season! Thankfully this will all be airing during my last semester at uni and after my placement, so I will have plenty of time to indulge (before I have to become a Productive Member of Society). I’m looking forward to a whole bunch of shows, notably KILL la KILL (!!), Kakumeiki Valvrave S2, Kyoukai no Kanata, Pupa, Samurai Flamenco, Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio and Strike the Blood . First time blogging in a while, though, so we’ll see how many of these I actually cover. Here’s hoping they’re all so good I’m motivated to blog a whole heap!
hehe

I just want to see how they’ll do the anime :3
Hopefully when the next otome game adaption happens (Jyuuza Engi ~Engetsu Sangokuden) they wont mess up the bad ass heroine T_T
Oooh Jyuuza Engi ~Engetsu Sangokuden! I wouldn’t mind seeing an anime adaption for that one! 😀
