‘A mother… A mother has to treasure her children above all else.’

Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko Episode 11 Image 0017

Synopsis: Youto and Tsukiko travel back into time to 2003… where they meet Tsukiko’s elusive mother, the younger Youto Yokodera and a plethora of other child characters. Just what is the issue with Tsukiko’s mother? Why doesn’t Youto remember her? And why is Tsukiko’s mother dressed as a giant mouse?

Impression:

Tsukasa is tsu-cute… you see what I did there? No? Ah well… I really can’t say much else other than that this was another great episode. There is one thing however, this is one of the only shows this season (and many seasons past) that makes me genuinely laugh every episode. Some people say that a romantic comedy fails if it can’t make you laugh; I care to disagree, but alas, that’s not the point. HenNeko is genuinely hilarious and offers an interesting brand of humor, my kind of humor. Some would say that such a viewpoint is rather subjective and that’s why I’m getting it out of the way. Done. Alright, let’s get started.

Cute. Cute. CUTE. This episode was all about how cute our characters can be… especially younger Tsukiko… I mean seriously, when younger Tsukiko opened her mouth I puked up a rainbow… Younger Steel however was a bit more vicious and I didn’t like her that match. No one throws rocks at my Tsukasa!

And speaking of Tsukasa… I love her… don’t die? I think it’s pretty obvious now that something is amiss and someone has messed with everyone’s memories, especially those of the people who were closest to Tsukasa. It would appear that Youto did in fact know Tsukiko’s mother at an early age and I love how the whole reason Tsukiko wanted to go back in time (partly anyway) was overlooked, yes Tsukiko, it would appear the Youto did meet you first but, and this is important, Azusa is still cute as a child and so the fierce competition can begin anew.

But, y’know, memories. It looks like my ‘Youto is Tsukiko’s father’ theory has been blown out of the water, BUT, that does not however mean that Youto isn’t weird… I mean, he’s pretty much in love with Tsukasa and then he forgot her? Odd. And just why does that picture of Tsukiko’s father look so much like Youto?! Maybe it’s a premonition…

So, like I said, there isn’t much to say about this episode. It was great and that’s that. Tsukasa was ill, we all knew that, but it’ll be next week, the finale (I’m actually quite sad about it’s going away), that we see some action and find some closure. We Youto get with a girl next week? Nope. We next week be awesome? I’d bet my left eyeball that it will be.

Well, this was a beautiful episode but its sad how everything can end. I think Youto really love her, and obviously she will die soon, so maybe Youto will sacrifice his memories and give it to Tsukiko and Tsukushi. I don’t know if they will feel guilty for not be more time with they mother, but Youto is so kind that he will end up doing something like that.
