Yamato ends up accepting the offer to working full time as a model with Megumi. However as result he starts drifting apart from Mei and no longer spend much to any time with his friends. Mei’s last straw of faith in Yamato snaps when she hears how he has been seen leaving Megumi’s house at night.

WOOHOO!!!! MEI BEING FORWARD, EVERYONE GIVE HER A ROUND OF APPLAUSE AND CHEER BECAUSE THAT WAS SO AWESOME!!!
SHE WAS SO BAMF DURING THAT SCENE! THE WAY SHE WALKED RIGHT UP TO HIM LIKE A BOSS
AND PULLED HIM INTO A KISS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY. LOVEEE IT!!!!!!
I absolutely loved how they delivered what was going on in this episode. The mood was so soft and quiet with very few dialogues, mainly filled with gossip and whispers. Using the heart thumping SFX during that scene had a big impact and increased the tensions and feels by tenfold.
You have no idea how happy I was to see the girls being there for Mei. They appeared just on time and did not ignore Mei’s feelings, and told her to lean on them. I am even more happy that Asami had noticed way back since the shoot that Mei was feeling troubled and that Aiko is helping Mei out too, by giving her helpful advice. Seriously, for Mei to have the support when she is confused and unsure what to do is just wonderful.
Ah damn it, I find myself not being able to completely hate Megumi. It is pretty obvious that she is lonely, and lets face it- eating a meal alone at home sucks… Well I guess it varies on the person, but for me it sucks. I hate eating alone, so I can relate to Megumi wanting someone to eat with (DESPITE THE FACT THAT SHE HAS A CRUSH ON YAMATO AND IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HER SITUATION).
It’s so clear that she has intentionally been separating Yamato from Mei and taken advantage of being able to walk from school > to work > spend time together during work > walk home from work > NOW HAVING SUPPER TOGETHER.
AND YAMATO.
DUDE.
I LOVE YOU.
BUT COME ON, EVEN YOUR FRIENDS ARE COMMENTING ON HOW YOU HAVE BEEN COLD/DISTANT LATELY!!!
AND HOW COULD YOU NOT ASK MEI WHAT’S WRONG?! YOU KNOW THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG YET YOU WON’T SAY ANYTHING!!!!
I expect Mei’s super bamf kiss to break the spell cast upon him and make him open his eyes and realize how how much he has drifted apart from his friends and Mei.
Oh and one more thing.
I know that Yamato is the ‘must do everyone a favor and help out’ sort of guy, but if he doesn’t actually enjoy modeling, he should just quit already.
