We ended the first arc involving some mysterious chicken and a food factory, so the only next logical step happens to be manga creation of course. After all, we need to follow the logical order of things for all Otaku: Food -> Manga -> Sleep -> social life. The show will follow all these steps, but as with real life, I’m not sure if it will have the time to reach the Social Life part before the season ends.

I was actually bullshitting about everything I just said, but the episode was mostly about yaoi manga, and this is something that doesn’t happen to be the center of my interest usually. Weird how that work, 1 guy naked and I love it, two guy naked together and suddenly it doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Now, Humanity might have declined and be near extinction, there might be shortage of food and technologies, but you can be sure there will never be a shortage of young teenager looking for some cliché yaoi love story in manga form. Who needs electricity, food, a chance of survival. When you have a manga, you can spend your day fangirling about guy to ship with other guys and you can imagine them doing dirty things after (just don’t ever admit you do that part).

What I found interesting (and about the only thing I actually found interesting this episode) was how Watashi said culture was created and propagated. Someone does something cool, everyone repeats it in their own interpretation and

suddenly you have a culture that forms from it. Usually cultures takes ages to develop and to have good foundations, but with technologies nowadays, everything is faster. Everyone knows there are many different culture in each countries. But no one ever saw any of them develop, they did so over centuries.Yet, now most of you reading this are aware of

the culture of the internet. Memes are everywhere now and it is a new culture that is born and evolves as we speak, evolves faster than any other culture before, because communication is now easier. We can see each others idea faster and therefore we can interpret them to our liking sooner too. The same goes in Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita for some reason the planet seems really small and with only a few trucks, they were able to conquer the heart of millions of young girls. Therefore the culture and the ideas that came with it travelled really fast to a lot of minds and a new culture was born.

But now, culture or not, our characters are inside a blank page, no clue what that means, but it sounds really weird and interesting, I cannot wait to see what will happen next episode, I’m confident it will be more interesting than bishies.
