A bastardized version of the opening arc up to the start of the Land of Waves arc, all stuffed into one episode.

Look. I really don’t want to, but there’s no way I’m doing this for the next three weeks.

IT’S NOT EVEN A FILLER ARC. ISN’T THIS SOME ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION THING? AT LEAST MAKE SOMETHING ORIGINAL FOR GOD’S SAKE.

If you haven’t watched the episode, please don’t. No actually, you’ve already watched it. Everyone has. Because unlike what I was thinking, we didn’t get an original four-episode arc about Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship.

Instead, all they did was STITCH TOGETHER SCENES FROM THE START OF THE STORY, AND CALL THAT AN EPISODE.

YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT. NEARLY NOTHING NEW. WE ALL UNDERSTAND THE BELL TEST AND THE LAND OF WAVES ARC, THERE’S NO NEED TO FUCKING REPEAT IT.

Okay, most of the first half of the episode was somewhat original, I’ll give you that. But in terms of what we got out of it, we- uhh, sorry, we didn’t get anything out of it. The only interesting thing was Naruto following Sasuke back to the Uchiha compound, then it got CUT OFF. And then, the rest of the episode was the freaking BELL TEST. ALL OVER AGAIN.

Also the art was better. But it SHOULD be better, since it just looks shoddy if they directly cut and paste episodes that first aired OVER 10 YEARS AGO.

Look SP, what are you trying to achieve? The manga has heaps of material ready for animation, and anything Kishimoto makes is bound to be better than your filler shit. No sorry, your unoriginal re-airing of the start of the show. If the preview for next week was interesting, I might have been lenient. But no, it’s showing Sasuke vs Orochimaru in the Forest of Death.

Even BLEACH had a story arc for its filler. Here we’re not even talking about shitty fillers, but instead a repeat of their pre-Shippuden life, when instead we could have been watching the start of an epic war. I’m finished with these, I’ll be back when the plot returns.
