Yu Gi Oh Zexal Ep 25: THE LIGHTTTTT!!!
Impression:
This episode mainly felt like a recap episode rather than the focus on the three suns which made it pretty boring. I figure that the red one Barrian World’s Sun since we’re told that the blue one is Astral’s World Sun and the yellow is obviously Yuuma’s, so wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case.
On top of that, Kaito decided to invade Astral’s memories (invading privacy much?).
Either way, boring episode was boring. Lets move on to the new arc shall we?

Yu Gi Oh Zexal Ep 26: A Good Start to a New Arc
Impression:
And thus, Season 2 begins!
I have to laugh because the only reason Yuuma was accepted into the Duel Carnival was because Kaito was there with Heartland and told him to give him a heart piece and that rather than wanting to duel Yuuma it was Astral whom he was really giving the heart piece to. Otherwise, Yuuma wouldn’t have been able to get in since not only Mr.Heartland was not pleased but just as everyone else, including Kaito called him an idiot.
Shark originally wasn’t planning to be in the competition, but with a turn of events of having re-encountered with his Rival that not only set him up but may have been involved in someone who’s important to Shark, accident.
I’m really looking forward to his duel and crossing my fingers for him to have his rematch with IV.
Speaking of IV. Wow, lets just say his design was just plainly ripped off from Star Driver.
Oh and if it isn’t obvious enough already, he’s an ass.
The new set of enemies don’t seem to be connected with Dr.Faker, they seem to have their own plans of collecting numbers as well. This group also feels like they are taking in the bits from 5Ds with those Signer-like marks on their hands. On top of that, their leader (or looks to be their leader) reminds me of Luciano and his laughing. Or just in general, the whole Yliaster team’s masks.
The new Opening is much, much better than the first one. I love both the song and the sequence. It also hints that Kaito and Yuuma will be teaming up at some point, be it a tag team or fighting against what looks to be another set of enemies or even number hunters.
The Ending on the other hand is a whole different story.
Fanservice much? Well if I were shipping Yuuma x Kotori maybe I’d think it’s cute, but no. This, absolutely not. In fact, I’m confused. Why do they focus on Kotori so much on the Endings? Is she supposed to be special? BESIDES the fanservice, what importance does she play with the plot? SHE DOESN’T EVEN DUEL!!!!!!!
I don’t hate her, but I’ll be honest that I’m indifferent about her character much like I am about Yuuma. And that’s the important part: I don’t ship pairings where I am indifferent for both characters.
Hopefully things will get exciting. However we’ve been warned by spoiler summaries that there will be a ridiculous duel involving vegetables. So for Sanity sake, please mentally prepare yourself for the WTFery and stupidity.
Overall this was a good episode. This arc should be way more interesting than the last one as well as it looks like the OST going to be much better. I’m crossing my fingers for that improvement. The Opening and episode is a good start. Kakeru Kunitachi will be Yuuma’s first opponent involving a soccer-duel.
Extra Note: From Pojo forums, we’ve been informed that there’s various reasons why they changed the backs of the cards and a certain director can’t say why.
Opening 2: Bravery
Ending 2: Setsubou no Freesia
I think this arc is the requisite Cult Arc, judging by the yellowjackets and their behaviour.
Is it just me, or was the art style very off in this episode?
This next arc will be either awesome or hilariously bad, but either way it’ll be fun to watch.
Yeah the art style was pretty different this episode, but that as you probably already know is common for YGO in general because of the different animators. XD
