Japan operates as a “quasi indepent” nation as ten years ago, an Apocalpse Virus pandemic wrecked havor on the country. They heavily relied on many other countries for aid. Ouma Shu, a nervous boy encounters Inori, a singer from EGOIST who had stolen the Void Genome and soon finds himself taking the risks to do the things he wouldn’t usually do.
First Impression:

OMG!!!!! THIS SHOW!
CALLING NOW, WILL BE ONE OF THE TOP THREE OF THE FALL 2011 SEASON.
IT IS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!
THE ANIMATION, THE OST, THE CHARACTERS, ALL THAT EXCEPT FOR THE PLOT SINCE PLOT YET TO SHOW ITS TRUE COLORS, IS TOP NOTCH QUALITY.
There are several things that made all that stand out.
First is the opening scene. The song, and the action that took place is really stunning and the transition from the two different tracks was very smooth, especially since the tracks have two very different sounds. Within 10 minutes you already know this show is going to have an UNBELIEVABLY EPIC OST.
The quality of animation, but most importantly the mobile suits. I think this is the biggest thing for fans of the classic mobile suits animation. They split it between the new and the old style, so this way they aren’t overdoing the newer technique that doesn’t appeal to everyone such as myself and Oki.
Next is the characters. So we have Shu who starts off as a coward and mans up at the end because he decides to do something rather than stand back and hide, Inori who is stunning, we don’t know too much about her except for that fact she is part of the Funeral Parlor who are identified as Terrorists and is connected in some way to activate the Void Genome and allow Shu to obtain the power, Guilty Crown.
Gai who is also from the Funeral Parlor is extremely badass, awesome and did I mention badass?
Funell is A D O R A B L E! Can I keep it?
Some say this gives off Code Geass vibes, and in a way I agree. With the whole military officials, more specifically the GHQ Whitemen massacring people because of an opposing organization identified as terrorist with an excuse using the order as, “All Residents in their operating area are designated to Stage IV + Infected” because Inori wouldn’t cooperate.
But besides that, there’s something about this show that gives me the chills. Chills are rare for me and they usually tell me that whatever I’m watching, it’s going to be EPIC and PROMISING. So I’m looking forward to see if this show will live up to or at the very least, EXCEED our expectations till the very end!!!!
SO IN OTHER WORDS: IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED EPISODE 1 YET, STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING GO AND WATCH IT. OTHERWISE, YOU’RE GOING TO MISS OUT BIG TIME.
Oh and Oki wanted me to mention BOOBS. But you see, I’m oblivious to boobs and the only ones I could think of when I think about….
See Oki! I fail when it comes to mentioning boobs! *DRAMATIC SULK IN SPOTLIGHT* It doesn’t help that I don’t have the right program to run 10bits videos… *SOBS*

Inori is sexy (: Maybe cause she’s wearing hardly anything xDD
But man, that protagonist. They just had to blow the Code Geass comparisons out of the water and make Shuu completely opposite in personality to Lelouch, and make him all mousey and indecisive. Now if only the genome thing Inori stole gave him a better personality…
Other than Shuu, this has EPIC potential.
The positive thing about Shu’s character is that it gives him lots of room for a strong development. Being involved in this whole mess is going to force him to toughen up and adapt to the circumstances because it’s going to be the only way for him to survive.
The first episode was simply amazing.
I think this series is gonna be very promising, all I hope is that it doesn’t disappoint me.
This series is without a doubt gonna be one of the best anime of the season.
