DAMNIT I ACTUALLY FORGOT ALL ABOUT THIS AND WASN’T ABLE TO MAKE CAKE! *SULKS*…AND WE GOT TWO FABULOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS TO MAKE! 😀 😀 😀
Eva: *TEARS* My Our baby blog is one year old!!! She grew up so fast! It’s been truly a wonderful experience and I’m so proud of myself and our writers who and has taken part of this project and appreciate the time and effort they have put into this to make this blog successful compared to my past failures expirence! It’s truly exhilarating to watch the blog and ourselves grow and improve our entries after time and finding our own style of writing that we’re comfortable with. My once 1000 500 words summaries have dropped down to a paragraph though at times it can be too long as well as improving my ability to take notes (which I was never that great at doing in the first place). Although I really need to learn to reduce the amount of screencaps I take to maybe 50 MAX! because obviously 100 – 200 is WAY TOO MUCH! Thanks to blogging, I also had gotten better at organizing my time better so I wouldn’t procrastinate as much I had done in the past. Of course those shows that I am not particularly fond of yet I can’t find the will to stop covering it are always the last priority. YES I AM LOOKING AT YOU ZEXAL!
ANYHOW, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN FOLLOWING US FROM THE START, THANK YOU TO OUR NEW FOLLOWERS, WE HOPE WE WILL KEEP YOU ENTERTAINED!
ZeroG: I remember the day I started writing for the blog like it was yesterday…at least that is what I would like to say but I have a poor memory for those things. All I remember from when I started writing for angryanimebitches is that we had less views in a month than we currently have for a single post in a day. This thing has come a long way from where we started. The author changed a little over time, but the purpose of the blog never changed. We covered so many shows in the last year, I couldn’t even name all those I reviewed myself! (Most likely because I try to forget I ever watched some of them).
Now truth be told, I was not part of this project when it started, I joined in late october or early november, I can’t even remember. But those 10 or 11 months have been a great experience and great fun…for the most part. I feel like when I started writing here I was but a young boy in diappers and now after a whole year I have become an old boy in diappers ! Time goes by so quickly! When I first started I remember not having a clue how blogging worked or what the hell I was supposed to do. Now a year has passed and I still don’t have a clue how to make quality content, but I learned how to lie about how good my reviews are, isn’t that what blogging is about in the end?
It has been great writing for this blog for so long and I don’t regret a thing (In fact I regret many: Astarotte No Omocha!, Manyuu Hikenchou, The fillers of Bleach, etc). Hopefully the industry will continue to provide us awesome anime like what we’ve had before and this blog will continue to grow and become even more awesome.
Oh ya, even after a year, I still have the same old lame sign out signature, I guess some thing never do change for the best. Thanks for following us!

*EVA POPS OUT AND DRAGS ZEROG BACK*
Eva: Dude we’re not finish yet.
Oki: Wow it’s been a long time since I’ve been here. It was really hard to post for me at first because my life was so hectic, but now it’s become something I look forward to everyday. I’m so excited for the next season and to keep posting with you guys! Hopefully it won’t be a repeat of this awful season. XD
Vantage: …Although I’ve only been part of the team for one season, already I’ve had a fantastic experience blogging for AngryAnimeBitches, and indeed the summer season’s gone by so quickly! Maybe cause it wasn’t all that great. Anyway, I remember first encountering the blog as a reader (with no self-esteem on his opinion about anime) back at its WordPress domain, and I completely agree with the others that the site really has grown xD Though I don’t know the exact difference in readership, from what Zero said the other bloggers have done an epic job to get AAB this far (and will continue to do so I’m sure xD)
I have to admit, I was pretty insecure when I first started, being a complete noob to the anime blogosphere. I’d never written for anything of this scale before, so I was pretty worried to say the least. A bit paranoid even – during my first few posts all I thought about was: Am I writing enough? Did I miss anything? Am I being boring with too much text? Somewhere along the line I think, I started sticking in screencaps here and there, if only to make it look nice (: But there was one consistent thing about my experience, and that was that I had fun doing it xD Which is the idea, isn’t it? Hopefully I’ll do a better job of it next season, especially since there are some great series slated for Fall.
Thanks so much for following the blog!
Myst: WOOO, A YEAR!!!! We had a lot of blog author changes, but WE MADE IT A YEAR!!! Heck, apart from Eva I’m the only original blogger left and I’m not even a regular blogger anymore. I can’t believe we made it this far. To be honest, when I started blogging, I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I was barely following the seasons, I didn’t even know blogs about anime existed, and I just kinda got into this because I watched anime and liked watching it. Heck, once I started though, I couldn’t stop. I just blogged… and blogged some more… And eventually got much better at writing my posts they might still be horrible but just deal with it. Now it’s too bad that I lack the time to blog regularly, I miss it a lot, however I’m really happy to see that the blog has made it this far and that we now get so many views in a day compared to the beginning! 😀 HAPPY BIRTHDAY AAB!!
Eva: AND NOW! WE GOT TWO SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR YOU FOLKS!
The first surprise is this fabulous new banner which you see now which has been drawn by our fabulous Oki!
Oki: It’s sure been a fun year here…and I finally came to post more after my life settled down. In that time I realized I really cared for the blog and want it to succeed. So I contributed this character for that cause, I hope you like her!
Eva: ❤ ❤ ❤ SHE’S SO CUTE!!! *GLOMPS OKI* SO FREAKING CUTE~ KASJDLKJAHGKASF!!!!
ZeroG: BEHOLD OUR NEW MASCOT ! GIGATRON THE DESTRUCTOR!!!
Vantage: I think it’s a pretty cool mascot, Oki’s obviously done an amazing job with it (: The pink/white BG reminds me of something though…Kyubey? Maybe not.
Eva: LOL! GIGATRON! But she isn’t a robot! What should we name her? Honey? *SHOT* Iris? DERP.
ZeroG: Wait…what do you mean her name is not Gigatron the destructor? I thought it was fitting, Iris feels too fleshy and human. Now don’t tell me she is not a cyborg? What the hell is this. So long as she continues to spit acid when she rage about anime, at least we’ll have that. If you like our new mascot, just wait until you can see her pet, it is a baby veloceraptor that shoots laser from its eyes. Actually we have no plan for a pet yet, but if we do, it will be a baby veloceraptor, so that’s awesome right?
Oki: I like Iris.
Eva: Iris is cute! ❤ So man what do you think of Iris?
Vantage: Hahaha, I’m fine with Iris
ZeroG: It’s Ok
Eva: Yes, no, maybe so?
ZeroG: Yes.
Eva: ZERO LIKES THE NAME IRIS! *THUMBS UP* IRIS IT IS! THE MASCOT IS NAMED IRIS!
AND FINALLY, THE SECOND SAVED BEST FOR LAST: Today we are proud to announce that we are going to start covering Japanese Video Games! 😀 I’m also going to be going all out in promoting and covering the new releases of the Otome Games that are being licensed here in North America! That’s right! If you haven’t already heard waaayyyy back in June that Aksys decided to take a chance, and license Hakuouki which will be released sometime in 2012 for the PSP! (I’m lurking Gamestop every day waiting for the pre-orders!) I EVEN BOUGHT A PSP JUST SO THAT I CAN PLAY THAT GAME.
Since I’m new to both the game’s genre and blogging video games, it’s definitely going to be a learning experience and I won’t be perfect, but please look forward to it!
Vantage: I’ll be joining Eva in covering video games, however instead of PSP games I’ll be focusing mainly on PC visual novels that have somehow made their way online. Stuff under my radar to cover would include Saya no Uta (if you can stomach it) and Steins;Gate! Oh, and the beat-em-up Madoka doujin game released at the last Comiket.
Oki: Oh vidya games. Typically my favorite kind is the Japanese Sort. My boyfriend owns a Japanese Playstation 2, I love JRPGS and well…you get where I’m going with this. I will definitely be contributing. …Especially because he has a lot of boobie ga- I MEAN uh he has dating sims! Yeaaah, thaaat..
Myst: Unfortunately, my lack of time and my lack of interest in video games other than Fire Emblem or Mario Kart prevents me from blogging anything concerning this new category, but considering we’re expanding, I’m so down :).
ZeroG: Also we’ll start covering some japanese video game, I wish I could personally contribute, but I heard that Super Mario Bros doesn’t count, so I’m all out of game to try. I’ll leave the video game cover to Eva and Vantage. I hope that you will enjoy all this new content we are coming with. We even have plan to do a vlog from the moon in a couple weeks time, we are settling things with NASA, so I shouldn’t have mentioned it really, but oh well.
ZeroG signing off
THANKS FOR FOLLOWING US AND WE HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE WITH OUR JOURNEY WITH US HERE ON ANGRYANIMEBITCHES!
Happy 1st Year Anniversary!!!
Woot! A new mascot! and a pretty one too XD
Ooooh interesting how you’re gonna start covering Japanese video games 😀
Eva, just hope the game does come out for PSP because PS Vita is coming out.
Also thanks for everything! I wouldn’t know what anime to watch if it wasn’t for this website.
Thank you! 😀
The good news is that Aksys has already confirmed its for PSP which is precisely why I bought one.
I’ll look into maybe getting Vita sometime in 2014 if have the moneySo hopefully they’ll continue, (if Hakuouki exceeds their expectations) releasing some more PSP titles. Also if you’re interested, Hakuouki’s Limited Edition will have the Artbook Aksys had a poll earlier asking what we’d like to see in the limited edition and that’s what got the top results.I would absolutely love it if they brought over Uta no Prince-sama REPEAT!!! Starry Skies is also rumored to be licensed, but it hasn’t exactly been confirmed by JAST USA.
Happy first year anniversary!
I noticed the banner right away when I checked it after it was changed. Though I haven’t been posting lately (because there wasn’t anything in the last 2 seasons that I wanted to watch) I’ve still been checking out the blog incase there was something that caught my attention.
Anyway, keep it up and hopefully there will be more fun shows to watch in the future. 🙂
8D Hey Ryn good to see again and thanks! 😀
I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll enjoy in the Fall 2011 lineup! :3 I’m most definitely looking forward to watching Guilty Crown, Shakugan no Shana III, Gundam AGE and Fate/Zero!
