Episode 7:

Astral begs Yuma to meet a character called Robin and later investigate what’s up with the guy after he starts doing bad things.
Impression:
*Yawn* … Oh it’s over? Man this was a LAMMMEEEE episode. I could barely pay attention to it, I was more interested in doing my nails and to hell with the summary.
It was pretty funny (and to be expected) how Astral was like, “OMGAWD, ROBIN IS FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION LIKE I AM! LETS GO AND ASK HIM ABOUT MA MEMORIES!!!”. In the end, Astral still managed to get Yuma to the studio to meet him when Kotori had indirectly helped him out by dragging him along, which eventually led to Yuma getting caught and kidnapped helped by Robin.
So we learned that the actor name is Fuya who is a coward, afraid of spiders, weak and totally doesn’t live up to his ‘Robin’ character that his fans see him as. He faces loneliness because his mother (who is also an actress) doesn’t allow him to ‘make friends’ because she automatically assumes they are his fans that snuck in or whatever. In this case, this is exactly what happened to Yuma.
I found the set up pretty cliched how Fuya ended up picking up a number and then turns into the bad guy and shit happens because of it. Then when we see not only Fuya’s deck are all the show’s characters, and then to top things off, THE NUMBER CARD IS THE GALAXY QUEEN *FACEPALM* I…I… just no. God no. That’s just creepy. What’s next we’re going to learn that’s his mother? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW SCREWED UP THAT’D BE?!
Anyways that’s it for this episode, NEXT:

Episode 8:

Skipping the summary for this episode.

Yuma and his mother
Soooo this episode wassss… – OMG WAS THAT A D-WHEEL I SAW SHARK RIDING?!?!?! It sounded like one, maybe the more upgraded futuristic version? I can’t imagine it being a car – he’s too young for that. Yep okay, I’m going to go with a D-Wheel. :3

Overall, the episode was okay. There’s only three two important things that caught my attention one Yuma’s flashback being with his mother (my god, is this the first time we’ve seen a YGO main character’s mother? I don’t know about GX because I didn’t watch it- but wow…) We saw his mother, NOT HIS FATHER, I REPEAT, HIS MOTHER. Likewise for Astral, only rather than seeing we heard a feminine voice and a learned a little bit about his birth. He was born to protect something – their world perhaps. Anyhow I get the whole thing was that Fuya, despite the circumstances his mother put him through, he still loved her and desired to protect her. In the end, while the trap card that was set down was futile, it played the symbolic meaning of wanting to protect his mother.
Oh and that’s right, Astral was the one who pretty much won the duel – not Yuma. He was the one in charge, he was the one making the decisions, he was the one who knew which trap to use in what order, how to solve the problems despite the situation there were in – Yuma, he didn’t do much except for refresh his memory and nothing beneficial.
Oh god – only two more episodes before I make my judgement whether I’ll continue blogging this show or not. +____+
PS: WHAT THE HELL!? THEY TALK TOO?! AND HAVE A DISCUSSION IN THE MIDDLE OF A DUEL?! *FLIPS TABLE AND WALKS AWAY* I WILL ONLY ACCEPT THE ORIGINAL SERIES HAVING THE DUEL MONSTERS TALK BECAUSE IT’S MORE PRACTICAL THAT THEY TALK BECAUSE THEY WERE HUMANS OR WHATEVER TO BEGIN WITH THUS MAKING IT POSSIBLE AND REASONABLE TO DO SO. TO HELL WITH THIS “SUPER HERO” STORY SHIT.
See what I did thar?
