Rua, Ruka and their friend wander in the woods trying to see if the rumors are true about a ghost and people being spirited away. Ruka finds herself pulled away from the group and trapped in a house after encountering a boy named Michel who said he’d protect her and his sister. Finally, while Teipi goes out to seek Yusei’s help about Ruka being separated from them, Rua continues to search on his own and finally finds the house. Michel accuses him as an ‘evil spirit’ and prevents Rua from leaving the house. Ruka duels him in order to free his sister.

*Sighs* I’m having a power outage right now and the stupid hydro STILL hasn’t shown up to fix whatever the problem that’s causing the hold up, so that’s why I’m late today for just about everything and VERY limited to the amount of time I can get access to the internet. I don’t know if Myst and Zero are having the same problem, but I’m certainly out of luck.
LOL, MY TITLE WASN’T A LIE. HE WAS DUELING A GHOST, BUT TECHNICALLY NOT THE GHOST THAT IS BEING USED AS THE PLOT DEVICE. FU FU FU /TROLL FACE *SHOT*
I will tell you right now, that I did not take this episode seriously whatsoever. Instead, the entire time while I was watching it I was commenting on just about every single stupid thing. (NOTE, THIS IS NOT IN ORDER) “OH NOES THE GHOST!” “OMG HE’S OBSESSED WITH DOLLZ!!!” “OH LOL, POOR RUA, HE NEVER SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO HAVE NORMAL DUELS!” “ON LOOK YUSEI IS VANDALIZING AND DID A BREAK IN ENTRY! HADN’T SEEN THAT IN A WHILE!” “OH LOL RUA’S DECK FINALLY COMES IN HANDY, I’D CALL IT A GADGET DECK THOUGH RATHER THAN MACHINE, IT SOUNDS COOLER” “OH CONGRATZ RUKA FOR FINDING A BFF WHO HAPPENS TO BE A GHOST.”
Seriously, I was laughing my ass off just because of how I was looking at the situations. Originally I considered make this post filled with “macros” of the screenshot with my lame captions, but I decided not to. (Maybe for an episode in the future, who knows…)
Overall, the episode for one, quality finally improved compared to the last few episodes where it was just absolutely hideous, also it wasn’t entirely dull but the plot of it was boring and totally lame. Again this has no significance importance to the current arc’s plot, but it was good, and not to mention, refreshing to see Rua win a duel for once after a while. This also shows his character development though the story hasn’t been focusing on him as much. Actually before I forget, we’ve only seen Rua seriously duel like, I think the five times (Yusei, Bomber, Divine, Demak and now Michel) and out of the five duels, 3 of them involved pain and physical impact. So when you think about it, Rua doesn’t have make luck having ‘safe’ duels! XD Well, perhaps the pain will make him stronger and less of a wuss crybaby. *SHOT*
Again, this is one of the episodes that would be alright to skip. If you have no interest whatsoever in watching an episode devoted to Rua (in particular) and Ruka, it wouldn’t leave in anyone in confusion.
