Rua goes out into the competition disguising himself as his sister. Rather than facing Yusei first like he hoped, he ended up facing Bomber. In the mean time, Godwin’s scientist, working behind the scenes starts to get confused about why their Signer’s detector that wasn’t reacting onto the field, but in the stands.
Rua VS Bomber
Victory: Bomber
Impression:
There is really no point in summarizing these battles unless something unexpected or relevant happens. We all kind of knew Rua was going to lose. *SHOT* What? You expect him to win right off the bat after losing to Yusei? Come on folks, that isn’t how it goes.
Now…
LOL. Really? WHY ARE THERE CARDS THAT ARE TRUCKS?! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!! WHY? WHY! HOW – I DON’T EVEN… I KNOW THANKS TO THE BATTLE WITH YUSEI THAT RUA’S DECK IS ALL ANDRIODS LITTERALLY AND CELLPHONES BUT STILL!!!!
All I can say is:
Yusei was awesome for being blunt to tell Rua, “Rua, it’s better if you drop the makeup.” I was also seriously amused with Himuro’s “SRS BUSINESS” face more than I should have been. It was really interesting what kind of duelist are in this competition, although we are more than aware, the ones that stand out the most are clearly under Godwin’s command. Out of all the people it’s only Rua who’s like, “OMG THIS IS SOOOO COOL!!!” “PEACE OUT!” Also take notice that there’s only one female in this competition, it would’ve been two if Ruka decided to join. Then we had the crowd’s reaction to Yusei’s marker was also a good reminder how how people of New Domino’s society react and think about towards those people. Bomber was pretty admirable to get every to shut up. But think about it, it’s pretty sad that it takes someone who isn’t marked by a marker to get people to stop being rude.
Speaking of Bomber, he’s pretty sharp to notice that Rua is not a girl. He’s also a very interesting character, despite working for Godwin, he has alot of honor- and he was more than willing to explain how bad Rua’s current situation was due to being carried away with thoughts that have no strategy against his monsters and trap/spell cards. It’s also sad that Rua couldn’t figure it out on his own – thus doesn’t really learn for his own experience.
Finally, Bomber’s monsters, they remind me alot of the old fashion military planes and equipment. In fact I am pretty fond of their design and effects.
Overall, my god – it was pretty much a duel-fail episode – not in a bad way, but just how Rua failed to stay focus. It can’t be helped since he really needs more experience, and he was just out of luck having to face Bomber, but meh, not like anyone else would have been any easier to defeat. Well at least he tried and got some knowledge out of it. Another good point is that he stayed determined and tried his best to pull through till the end.
