ATTENTION: I CAN’T HELP BUT MENTION THE BIGGEST SPOILER OF LIFE IN THIS EPISODE SO IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE NEXT CHAPTER OF ONE PIECE DON’T READ THIS IF YOU HATE SPOILERSWhitebeard keeps his word from last episode, basically destroying the island by himself in order to let his sons escape. Meanwhile, Buggy I’VE SAID IT 20 MILLION TIMES ALREADY BUT I CAN’T STAND HIM HE’S THE WORST CHARACTER OF LIFE AND NEVER FREAKING DIES manages to sweet talk the Den Den Mushi into coming out of his shell in order to restore the communication to the rest of the world and Buggy’s in deep shit once again because of his bragging. Big news.
We then go back to Luffy and Ace, Ace looks at Whitebeard and they have an emotional moment where Ace is glad to have had Whitebeard as a father, and he will respect his order that he must escape. That is, he will respect it until Akainu comes in and tells the pirates that Whitebeard is a loser OH NO YOU DIDN’T. He then keeps going with a 5-minute long paragraph bitching about Whitebeard, which makes Ace explode, however Akainu beats him easily because magma is definitely hotter than lava. As Luffy drops the Vivrecard, Akainu says that he doesn’t care who lives or dies so long as he can get rid of Luffy and Ace. He is then about to strike Luffy, however Ace takes the blow instead and his Vivrecard gets minimized to almost nothing, meaning he will die soon.
Impression: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I DON’T WANT ACE TO DIE, I KNEW ALREADY BUT THIS IS SO FREAKING SAD BECAUSE I KNOW THAT NEXT EPISODE (I THINK) HE DIES AND I DON’T WANT HIM TO DIIIIIIIE!
I swear at the end of the episode I was already crying and he’s not even dead yet. I couldn’t remember the manga properly and so I thought they’d give him a little bit more time than this but now I DON’T WANT ACE TO DIE YET SOBSNEXT EPISODE IS GONNA BE SO FREAKING SAD!!!!!
That’s basically the only important part of this episode. Apart from that, everyone is on their way to escape, and Whitebeard is still alive and kicking despite his countless number of wounds. Goooo Whitebeard!
To be honest, I was a little surprised that they didn’t stretch everything like they usually do in One Piece. This time, they stayed more on track of what was going on and apart form Buggy the producers didn’t lose much time with useless stories. The story is seriously on track now, and it won’t be long before more action and suspense starts off! One Piece is all about its intense end of arc moments, and we’re right in it at the moment.
