Tennoji is told to take a day of vacation since she hasn’t had one since she had opened the shop. While spending her day around New York she thinks over her original goals and things from the past. Suddenly found in a traffic jam where there was a minor accident, she finds a mother of bride in distress of her daughter’s ruined wedding cake. Tennoji steps in to save they day and saves the cake by remodeling it without having to start from scratch. She was invited to the wedding in return and remembered what made her want to become a pastry chef in the first place. Now back in business with newfound aspiration, Tennoji steps up in her business where Henri-sensei is her last priority.

The episode overall was well done. Not once did Tennoji mop about Henri’s remark on her progress. Instead Amano and the others encouraged her to take a vacation for the day to get new people and gain ideas and inspirations. Thanks to that she decided to get rid of the idea of having her shop focus only on French sweets. Now she decided to make it solely focus on New York so that people can enjoy the desserts. The place was completely remodeled to make it far more welcoming for all classes in society. From posh to modern, a fantastic change that will continue to benefit her.
Now with this arc finally over we are back to Japan! That means they get to work on their shop, right? RIGHT?
