FAQ

My Comment is Under Moderation?

Yeah, so just be patient since we are not necessarily by the blog 24/7 and if it isn’t considered as a spam it’ll pop up eventually. Remember to be civil and polite to others, while OPINIONS are free speech, keep in mind that there’s a limit, especially since people can step over the line easily without realizing it.

Why was my comment removed?

Your comment will be removed if you are bashing/flaming/off-topic/racist/trolling/offensive

Why was my comment relocated to the FAQ Page?

All questions that are not related to the entries should be addressed here.

Where do you watch English subs/download anime?

Not all of us have access to the legal streaming services like VizMedia’s, Hulu’s, Crunchyroll, etc… due to region protection so we end up downloading/streaming FanSubs or rips.

If you are looking for places where you can subscribe like Crunchyroll‘s Premium or just stream for free, other legal places to turn to are VizMedia, FunimationHulu, and DAISUKI.

If you are blocked due to region protection (mainly an issue for anyone OUTSIDE of United States) you can always check out other streaming sites that is very easy to find on Google.

NOTE: Also sometimes, and this happens: Not all the new shows are licensed by these companies so you are forced to turn to Fansubs no matter what. Go to MAL and look up the anime you’re looking for and there should be a FanSub group mentioned on the page.

***AND REMEMBER GUYS, IF YOU LIKE IT AND IT HAPPENS TO BE LICENSED, BUY IT!***

I want to be a blogger here, where can I apply?

You can find out how to apply at Write for AngryAnimeBitches

Why is this blog called AngryAnimeBitches, and yet there are guys?

The main reason was that when this blog started, it consisted only girls and no boys (they joined later).

Can I re-post your entries/content elsewhere?

NO, YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO RE-POST OUR ENTRIES OR ANY OF OUR CONTENT ELSEWHERE.

It is strictly against the rules to re-post entries/content from our blog elsewhere.
You are permitted to share the LINK directing others to our website/post/pages as long as credit is due.
Reblogging/Retweeting the links directly from our page on Tumblr/Twitter are also an option and strongly encouraged.

May I use your screencaps for my blog?

NO: HOT-LINKING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

Yes:
Permitted to use the images to make Banners, Icons, Backgrounds
***Please remember to credit us by linking back to the entry or the blog since we are supplying them***

Why are there no screencaps in the entries between 2010 and 2012?

In order to make sure we don’t go over our storage limit, starting January 2016, I will be removing screencaps from the earlier years annually.

OH! YOU HAVE PICTURES FROM ANIME CONVENTIONS! CAN I USE SOME OF THEM?!

You may but:

+ You must provide credit by linking back to the entry/this blog + the writer who took the photos
(usually the author of the post, otherwise it will be said) so others know where they originally come from and who took them.

If you wish to enhance them, the same rule is still the same.
+ Please refrain from publishing the images on image/art hosting sites like Deviantart, WeHeartIt, Instagram as you did not take the picture, the copyright belongs to the Photographer.

    1. Penguindrum isn’t really for everyone. It requires lots of thinking, intepretation of various scenes, many religious and philosophical references…it’s very open-ended and cryptic. If you don’t enjoy questioning and unraveling what you’re watching you won’t like Penguindrum.

    2. It can be confusing as hell, so it’s definitely not for everyone. It was actually the show that made me start taking notes while I’m blogging to keep track of everything ahahahaha XDDD. But that’s why I love it so much, because I just LOVE questioning and theorizing about stuff!

          1. I know >.< I cant wait for the anime :D Shaft
            Shaft is animating
            *fangirls*

I also love the songs <3 Especially Heat Haze Days~ and the manga, though its a shame I cant read the novel TuT

            1. Well if it gets an abundant of positive feedback and requests to have licensed, there’s definitely a possibility. SAO proved that. If it becomes a hit- companies will look into licensing the Light Novels. So there’s always a possibility. :3 We can only hope for the best!

    1. School has been eating him alive and at one point he had no access to the internet. He is working on catching up on his coverages quickly as he can.

  1. Eva is there any way i can pm you or just ask you a lot of questions about anime and what not since you know so much? XD

    1. If you have tumblr, then we can PM (or fanmail since no character limit) back and forth angryanimebitches.tumblr.com or we can discuss here on this page where other bloggers may be able to contribute to whatever questions you want to ask.

      1. Ok Thx! I don’t know how well you know Lupin III, but I love it, because I grew up watching castle of cagliostro and I recently watched The Woman called Fujiko Mine and I know they just announced a short series for Jigen and was wondering if there were any other good shows about Lupin and its characters out there?
        Thx

        1. Hmm that’s a toughie for me. I am quite unfamiliar with Lupin III. Although I did watch The Woman called Fujiko Min, I ended up dropping it.
If my memory serves right, Oki might have some good suggestions, otherwise hopefully someone else on the team who is more familar with Lupin III will be able to help you out.

  2. Eva why did you make me watch “The Princess and the Pilot”!!! IT MADE ME CRY SO MUCH AT THE END!!! Such a beautiful love story! And why do Japanese people love unsastifying endings???? I was waiting for him to take her away the entire time and then he just leaves…. :(

    1. *GROSS SOBBING* I KNOW RIGHT, I WAS LIKE OH COME ON, FLY AWAY WITH HER INTO THE SUNSET!!!!! Ah man I really want to read the novels, I really do. It would be so nice if Yenpress could license them…

      BUT MAN I LOVED THAT MOVIE. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

      1. Yeah it is great! Do you know how many light novels there are? I looked it up on amazon.jp and only saw one and then i also saw some other works by the same author in the same world but google chrome translate didnt really help me find out what they were about…

        1. These are the Light Novels Titles~

          – Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta (The Pilot’s Love Song) five volumes long (finished)
          – Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku (The Princess and the Pilot) 1 Volume, (finished)
          – Toaru Hikuushi e no Yasoukyoku (Nocturne of a Certain Pilot) 2 Volumes (finished)
          – Toaru Hikuushi e no Seiyaku (Oath of a Certain Pilot) just started in 2012 (Active)

That said, I am actually surprise to see that Pilots Love Song is only five volumes long, but that certainly would increase the chances of getting a license because it’s not as long as the other series. All we need to hope now is enough people to request it to catch their attention. I will bring it up as a recommendation when I get the chance to though.

    1. It’s not, but you’re close enough :D

Magi had a good run! You should start following the manga if you aren’t doing so already – the current arc is really interesting, with lots and lots of world building. I’m writing up Ep 25’s post as we speak, so stay tuned!

        1. Unfortunately, I don’t usually do individual overall reviews any more – normally I sum up my overall thoughts in a paragraph or so at the end of the final post.

I’m really enjoying the manga at the moment! What do you think of the current “extended flashback” arc set in Alma Toran?

          1. same person as before, just different account
Extended flashback… I do enjoy reading about Solomon’s past… and well I suspect Sheba is Gyokuen due to them having the same staff. And seeing Sheba’s feelings for the moment, I think she was crazed by love and heartbreak, or something.

            1. Yeah, heartbreak seems very likely at the moment – although there might be something else as well (which may explain why even old friends like Ithnan defected). The version of Gyokuen depicted as one of Solomon’s three wise Magi (after he became king) still seemed loyal to him at that point, but something in her had changed fundamentally from her time as Sheba.

Also, the “true Fanalis form” Muu changed into during his little trip looks awfully similar to the Red Lion species. That means Morgiana and the Fanalis are descended from Alma Toran too :O

  3. Hey guys! I only just realized this section existed!! *Extremely single-minded*

Anyhoo, I was wondering if you ever review movies as well as TV episodes/OVAs? I recently had the pleasure of watching the first Hakuouki movie and would love to read some opinions on it =D

When I first heard it was getting a theatrical release, I just thought it’d be the TV series cut down with maybe some new animation here and there…but it ended up being a completely new retelling!! I really enjoyed it. While some story details were lost, the pumped up action scenes and differing storyline made it very exciting- I think I enjoyed it as much as the TV series.

And since the franchise has enough money to make two movies, could there be some hope for an anime adaption of the new Urakata game!!? I sooo want it to happen XD There aren’t enough historical animes these days TT.TT

    1. Yup we do review movies, by rarely unfortunately. I did cover Hakuouki Hekketsuroku but dropped it because of RL circumstances. Kaitou on the other hand had covered Hakuouki: Reimeiroku

Once I can get my hands on the movie I’ll look into it, unless someone else beats me to it! XD

Ehhh I don’t know much about Urakata Hakuouki, I heard a lot of mixed opinions though. I wouldn’t be surprised however if it were to get an adaption since the Hakuoki franchise is so popular.

      1. So you do, which I would have seen if I’d searched the site a bit more lol single-mindedness strikes again!

I just downloaded it DX I’d definitely like to buy it once it’s available to me though. Now to wait for the 2nd movie, which came out in theaters the other week but won’t be out on disk for a few months >.<

I won't be able to play Urakata unless it gets a western release sadly, but I think I'd enjoy it since it has an RPG element to it. And it's historical so…you know. It can do no wrong in my eyes! Plus the heroine fights which I bet a lot of Chizuru haters would enjoy haha. They did such a splendid job adapting Reimeiroku, I have faith they could make a good anime out of it even if the game wasn't stellar. Overall though, I'm just dying to see the Ishin Shishi's side of things. Maybe people will live this time =P

  4. I was just wondering if you guys had planned to do an overall review of Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou. Most of us dismissed this show before it even aired because the description of the plot made it seem as though it would be some pointless harem with a lot fan service but it has turned out to be a pretty comedic and entertaining show. Thanks!

    1. It’s not on my watchlist and I’m not really planning on picking it up because I already have way too many series on hand, but I’m not sure about the other members. Stay hopeful for a reply! :>

    2. Sorry, I haven’t been watching Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou either. I am willing to give it a whirl to see if it is (as you said) better than most of us thought, and maybe if I like it enough, I’ll do an overall review (or someone else might if they are watching it). But I wouldn’t hold my breath for it. We will see!

      1. If you guys can’t watch it’s okay. There are so many great series this season that I can’t blame you guys! Thank you anyways!!!

    1. He has been extremely busy this season in general and especially this month of May with school and the tough exams, so he hasn’t had any time do much. We just have to be patient for him and wish him the best on his exams. :3

  5. With all due respect, when is Naruto being covered again. I know it was on a filler hiatus, but it has been weeks since its latest filler episode. Just curious is all

    1. I had no idea it was back! The episode titles looked like they were still on that Kakashi ANBU filler arc.

I’m a bit tied up IRL at the moment, but I’ll do my best to smash out some reviews for 362-4 in the near future. Thanks for reminding me!

    1. Fuwanovel exhibit quite a few visual novels and their patches, which you can download with a torrent client. The one for Rewrite is here, although be aware it’s going to cost you a few gigabytes. Enjoy it – it’s an amazing VN.

    1. Tenderfoot’s retired so unfortunately she won’t be able to answer your questions on this thread :-( If you’re keen on contacting Tenderfoot you can check out ‘The Team’ page, I believe Tenderfoot left a way for you to contact them there.

    1. I’m watching it, and I think Chris wanted to cover it but the post has been in the drafts for ages. CarmenTheNinja has expressed interest in taking over weekly coverage from Chris :-) If no one picks it up I may do a Quick Look post since I won’t be blogging anything weekly this season.

If you must know I’m enjoying it a ton, it’s my favourite show this season. I’m sure the others are enjoying it too :-D

    1. Not that I know of since the writers are given the opportunity to claim a show as soon as it comes out. At best, if there’s anyone watching it one might do a random review on it, but it’s ultimately up to them.

  6. I won’t really have access to a computer for the next two years and I was wondering if there was a website that I could check when I came back that would give me a list of the top ten animes for each season of the years I have missed. Thanks! :)

  7. Question unrelated to this review (sorry, I didn’t know where else to ask you specifically!): Are you planning on watching Kamisama Hajimemashita 2? I just reread your overall review of season 1 (which I COMPLETELY agree with, btw), and even just thinking about season 1 makes me angry. I don’t think I have it in me to watch them butcher even more content. Just wondering if you’re going to!

*Comment has been relocated to FAQ + Ask the Team*

    1. (*I have relocated your comment to this page. So for future questions that are not relevant to the topics/show, please refer to the FAQ + Ask the Team page)

I have no plans on doing so, unless someone else tells me that it is an infinity times better and does the manga and characters justice. But I do know that Oki has some interest in doing so (aka is prepared to rip the show apart if justice isn’t served) or someone else might pick it up.
Once we finish and post the Winter Anime 2014 Preview, we will know who are (still) interested- if there are anyone willing to pick it up that is, ahahaha.

    1. Hm, it would depend where you are. Here is what I know right now

Canada: Chapters.ca (might also be available at local stores) | Amazon.ca

      USA: Amazon.com | Rightstuf.com (Search under: Sword Art Online Novel) | Barnes&Nobles

If you are in elsewhere, try using the Amazon of your region. I will ask the team if they know anymore alternative resources.

  8. can you please do a review on the otome game gulity alice? i know it takes a while to play but im willing to wait!! its totally free too
    Thank you.

  9. I know that this concerns the whole team and I apologize in advance for what may come true, but Eva I think most of all I may need to apologize to you. You are the one who manages the blog.

Now, has there ever been a time when someone has tried commenting, but their comments didn’t even appear on the page with the “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” blurb? If so, did the comment(s) suddenly appear some time later on?

I ask because I began commenting on this blog yesterday, but suddenly the twitter linked account wouldn’t post anymore or so it would seem. I’m wondering if it isn’t just a matter of time before they show up. If so, well, my repeated attempts would spam a few blogs :/

    1. I think I know what’s happened. One of your comments yesterday on Tokyo Ghoul was a test comment, which I assume you posted to check if the spoiler tag would work. It was then flagged as spam as there was nothing in it, which meant that all your future comments would automatically go to spam instead of going to us for moderation. I’ve tried to undo this, so try responding to this with your first account and see if that works.

    2. When you see, “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” sometimes it will be approved immediately and others may be delayed if none of us are around to approve it. This often applies to people who haven’t commented on the blog before/as often or the system catches what it considers may be spam. As long as it isn’t mistaken as spam you can expect it to get through at some point- no longer than a couple of hours (i’d say 5 hours max if we are not around to address it).
