This episode surely was an exciting one because the girls finally had a more real performance other than standing in the same spot and doing some chants. This time their performance included kicks, dancing, and even a mini stunt! Nothing too crazy like I had thought, but at least it was something.

The girls have another gig, this time at a local festival. One of the girls that had watched the basketball game is the daughter of the event organizer and told her dad about them so they were able to get a gig outside of the school. Basketball-senpai back at it again with the gigs…even though it wasn’t directly by her this time. But what makes this gig so special is that it’ll be outdoors, so now they can actually create a routine with dancing and everything. One thing they also mention is that they can actually pull off a stunt because of this. Arima brings up a pretty simple stunt that’s good for beginners, a double base thigh stand. Here’s something interesting I learned. I had always thought that weight over height was the priority for the person on top in stunts, since the heavier the person is, the harder it’ll be to hold them up and everything. But according to Arima, it’s height over weight. The person on top is always the shortest person, and in this case, that’s Kohane (by just a couple inches). Which I think is pretty interesting but maybe a little confusing. The shortest person isn’t always the lightest person so I wonder what the situation would be if the shortest person was a little hefty. But the shortest person on top makes sense too, since a taller person would make the formation a little…odd, no offense. Kind of wish Arima went into more detail, but it was still interesting nonetheless.

Kohane was scared at first, thinking she would fly from the stunt but it’s a pretty easy one with minimal height as Arima and Kotetsu would be the base with their thighs, and Kohane being held up on them by Uki. But they also got to learn the song they’d use and the choreography Arima had come up and I will say this again, we need to meet Arima’s older brother. Apparently he danced with Arima in the video and the girls were so impressed by him and Uki couldn’t get him out of her head. I just need to meet this dude and see what he’s really like, I feel like it would be one hell of a meeting. And again, his past comments reminds me of Olivia’s brother from Asobi Asobase, but now he’s a good dancer too. This dude sounds amazing and this is the third or fourth time the show has mentioned him and we need to see this guy. At least once. Please, I’m begging.

So the girls practice and hope for a good day with good weather, and luckily for them that comes true. But their nerves suddenly hit them as they did their rehearsal on the stage. This was really the first time they would perform for an actual audience on a stage, not simple cheers for their classmates. Kotetsu was the one that was down as she wasn’t happy with the way she performed in rehearsal, but Kohane tries her best to cheer her up. Arima and Uki do as well and then it’s their time to perform. They were all nervous, even Arima as she screwed up the WELCOME part in the beginning. But Kotetsu and even Kohane learned something this episode. That they’re not alone, that there’s support in their teammates so they won’t be nervous while performing, or while doing the stunt. It’s all just fun. It was nice seeing their dance, though because of budget we got some still shots. But at least we got to see most of it animated and I thought it was really cute. In the end, they all had fun.

The red haired not-Nico was there watching them in disguise, so I feel like we’ll see her soon. Next episode it looks like it’ll finally focus on Kohane’s fear of heights. What’ll happen next for our cute cheerleaders? Probably lots of cheer and fun, no doubt.
