I want to bully Satania-sama!

Impression

I know I said it’d be really hard to write about this show, and I stand by that. But I just really, really wanted to post this picture of my cute girlfriend, Vigne. Isn’t she such an angel? Oh wait.

Maybe I should say some stuff now that I’m here. It feels like Satania has carried many of the scenes thus far (although the best one this week was the class rep one). The title and synopsis sort of indicated that we would follow Gab and her slovenly life now that she has degenerated into a game addict, but apart from the first half of last week’s episode (which served as setup more than anything) I’m getting the impression that the series should really be called Satania DropOut instead. Even Gab has joined in with the Satania bullying. But who can blame her? Satania is essentially made for bully. And at times (like the hilarious chopsticks scene) it’s absolutely Satania’s own fault. I kind of want to tease her mercilessly and hug her softly to apologise when she cries. And then set a dog on her.

It also feels like there’s a divide between Raphiel and everyone else. I think its an intentional thing as she was put in a different class to everyone else to begin with, but she hasn’t done much yet other than to prod Satania in various ways. That leaves us with Satania as the only real common denominator tying the characters together. Come to think of it, that might be why there are so many Satania scenes. You’ve got ones where Gab and Vigne are with her, ones where Raphiel is with her and ones where she runs into all sorts of misfortune herself. They’re just switching up whoever’s doing the pranking. And then once in a while there’s a scene where Gab and Vigne act awfully like a married couple (and by that I mean that Vigne is taking care of Gab like she’s her wife). Maybe Gab really should have put down ‘marriage’ as her first career choice.
