“I want to find a way to save Koro-sensei’s life.”

Damn. Even though I knew, more or less, what was going to happen, that was still a pretty powerful episode. I think it was the insert song that did me in, that was beautiful. Also, I’m a sucker for romances like Aguri’s and Koro-sensei’s. Grr.

Koro-sensei is going to die either way. A lab rat that was on the moon that also had the tentacle cells implanted in it went out of control due to excessive cell division. That tiny rat was powerful enough to completely destroy 70% of the moon. Knowing Reaper has these cells, they found out the same will happen to a human (Reaper) on March 13th a year later. His cells will also go out of control and destroy everything around him. And if a tiny rat can destroy most of the moon, then a human would surely destroy the entire Earth. Aguri overhears this and rushes off to tell Reaper.

Aguri had taken a strong liking, most likely romantic feelings, to Reaper because he was always there for her whenever she needed advice. Even though she knew that the smiles and kind words Reaper used on her were practiced from years of assassinations, she was still drawn to him and hoped to one day see him give a real smile and leave the darkness he was in. She saw him in her students, where she did not feel like she had much impact on them. She really enjoyed her teaching job and wanted to change the lives of the students in the E-Class. All in all, she was an angel! And yet her life was taken from her early on.

You never know what’s important to you until you lose it, is what I can say how Reaper felt when Aguri died in front of him. He took the promise that he would teach the E-Class in her place, which we all knew.

The students are in a rut, where after learning the entirety of Koro-sensei’s past, they’re at a standstill. They know they can’t go back to their classroom with the same feelings they had before, because now they’re conflicted. After that, they went on their winter break, and none of them thought of any assassination attempts. At this point, no one wants to kill him. They remember all the fun times they had with him, and now it’s all becoming more and more difficult for them.

[HorribleSubs] Assassination Classroom S2 - 16 [1080p].mkv0049And this is one thing I always thought of since the first season. Even before knowing all of this, I knew that the students thought of Koro-sensei as the best teacher that they ever had. They grew because of him, they saw the values within themselves because of him, and most importantly they’re having fun because of him. From the beginning I would have expected them to have conflicting feelings over his assassination, but knowing all of this now, it’s worse. Now in the end, Nagisa gathers everyone outside and wants to find a way to save Koro-sensei’s life, instead of killing him.

How can they save him? If there’s one person who could somehow find a solution to Koro-sensei’s imminent death, that would be Yanagisawa as he’s a genius and he was one of the scientists that took part in the experiments with the tentacles. But of course he would never help, and no way would the students go up to him for help after learning how awful of a person he is. So now the kids are in a predicament as to what they should do next, but Nagisa knows what he wants to do.

I really liked this episode. There were a lot of emotions in it and now I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next. The students have a couple months to think of something, but the end is near. Their emotions are getting in the way of their judgement, but really, who can blame them?
