Man, I didn’t know know what the hell was happening when Aion started doing her thing! And while it was put together quite stunningly so, it was downright confusing until Koharu just snapped. I was so confused because I kept on asking myself, ‘Is Aion forcing the Reset?’ I couldn’t understand why she would do that. And at the same time, I wasn’t even sure if what she was doing was actually happening. Norn9 Ep 11 Img 0028When I saw the doors, I thought, ‘Oh, maybe this is the chance where they will see the past or the future‘ – but no, it wasn’t that either- which brings us back to the indication Aion making a selfish decision to go ahead with the Reset without consulting everyone (especially since they have been warned a malfunction may occur and could wipe them of their memories of each other). The decision was supposed to be made the next day. And while what appears to be for most an evenly split decision of whether or not they sure go ahead to do the reset, Koharu is having none of it. Initially she thought the Reset would be okay, but the second she found herself to be alone in this developing “new world” and lost contact with her friends and lover, Koharu started to freak out and interfere with the process. (Well there you have it Natsuhiko, you didn’t have to do a thing. Koharu did it for you.)

Now on one hand, I really enjoyed this episode. I loved how the Reset segment was put together, it was absolutely gorgeous to watch and listen to. It gave me the chills and even made me a bit emotional. INorn9 Ep 11 Img 0007 also was pleased with the scene involving Sakuya x Mikoto x Natsuhiko love triangle, which was responsible for ripping my heart out! (I said I didn’t care anymore, how wrong I was, I love you too Sakuya oh my god MY HEART CAN’T TAKE THIS!) And frankly speaking, I am not even sure what just happened between Mikoto and Sakuya. Sakuya technically confessed by saying he could not longer be satisfied with simply just being friends, but then says she has changed, because of Natsuhiko. It sounded to me that Sakuya was letting her go or something (that’s probably why my heart hurts so much ╥﹏╥). Now with the Reset taking place and Koharu interfering with it, I have no idea what will happen I also appreciated the bit of screen-time of the other characters, who were for most part of the series, hardly gotten any air time, with probably the sole exception of Itsuki (because of that one episode). And finally, I really liked how they integrated the epilogue’s storyline involving Sorata’s and Aion’s story into the episode as well.

Norn9 Ep 11 Img 0011On the other-hand, I was sorely disappointed (and I know so many others are/will be as well) by how Nanami x Akito weren’t able to experience *that* event. I am grasping to a thin thread of hope that we will see it take place next week, especially given how Koharu has interfered with the Reset process. I am honestly going to be super bummed out if they cut it out altogether.

I think that’s about all I have to say for this episode. Next week is the finale, so let’s see how it plays out!
