Huzzah, the opening and ending themes are subtitled now! *happy dance*

Episode six opens with rumours of a peeping tom on campus, and a new student with long green hair. She’s walking around campus in the evening, yet despite all the other students walking around, she’s the only one who gets busted. *eye roll*   But wait, isn’t this really…!

He looks like an evil Tuxedo Mask.

Apparently the peeping tom /maniac sneaking around on campus is tied to the recent emergence of the Ragnarok. We find out that the strongest student at the academy, a third-year named Celestia Ralgris, is due to return any day now. And, she’s a man-hater. Ha, sucks to be Lux. Sharis asks Lux to help patrol the campus grounds and he agrees, but there’s a catch – he has to dress up as a girl to do it. He’s a decoy! So he’s secretly the “new transfer student” we see at the very beginning of the episode.

While out on patrol, Lux sees Celestia Ralgris talking to a cat. Great first impression eh? When he turns around, the peeping tom has caught up with Lux. Before he can blink, Celestia intervenes and fends off the peeping tom, who flees with the burst of a smoke bomb. At the nurse’s office, Celestia bandages Lux’s Luno’s wound, and she seems to be very drawn to Luno.

Lux has lunch with Lisha the next day, but his thoughts are continually drawn back to the events of the previous evening. Then Krucilfer arrives to stir the pot a bit, and Lux is stuck in the middle again.

Elsewhere, Fugil goes to meet with Balzeride in prison. But instead of breaking his former ally out, Fugil turns Balzeride into an Abyss with a cursed touch. Then he brings out his whistle, and more Abyss are seen flying in from outside the prison grounds.

Back at the academy, Tillfarr brings Lux to the Headmistress’ office where Lisha and Celestia are having it out. Celestia thinks Lux isn’t needed at the academy because he’s a man, and she’s strong enough to handle everything on her own. /end sarcasm  Lux wants to stay and help the girls fight against the Ragnarok. The Headmistress decides that the two should fight against each other in a Drag-Ride duel, and the winner will get their way. It will be held in three days when the Chivalric Order is on Ries Island for some training.

Later that night, Celestia’s friend (sister?) Saniya comes to her door to thank her for trying to get Lux thrown out of the academy. After Saniya leaves, Celestia makes reference to a person named Mr. Wade, who sounds like he could be one of her teachers. *side eye*

Celestia heads up the training for the Chivalric Order, and she pushes everyone hard to give their maximum effort. Talking with Lux and some of their other friends after training is over, Sharis mentions that Celestia must have ulterior motivations for why she is the way she is because she always seems like she’s tormented by something. So I assume we will get to hear her tortured backstory at some point.

vlcsnap-00027This next scene threw me a little. Saniya calls Lux to come see Celestia, but Celestia is clearly expecting Luno and not Lux. He gives Celestia the massage she’s asking for, but when she moves to stand up to thank him,  Lux stalls her and manages to change into his female clothes just in time. Celestia thanks him for the naked massage (s)he just gave her, and the two make plans to meet up the next day. But as he’s leaving, Celestia  notices his black sword device. Which means that of course it’s going to be the thing that gives him away during their upcoming duel. Also, does this not mean that at some point when Saniya and Celestia are going to talk to each other and realize that Lux = Luno, because Saniya brought a guy to Celestia’s room but Celestia only saw a girl?

Anyways when Lux -as-Luno leaves Celestia’s room, he’s ambushed by Saniya, and then Krucilfer comes to his aid. Saniya backs off, and Krucilfer warns Lux to be careful because Saniya’s trying really hard to get him kicked out.

When Lux wakes up in the middle of the night, Philuffy is in his room. Dressed in black lingerie. This poor guy must have to wear a steel codpiece the way all the female characters in this show torture him with their nudity. ^^;;  Philuffy tells Lux that they haven’t changed since they were kids, and that should he lose to Celestia, she will fight in his place on his behalf.

The next day, Celestia and Luno are out shopping, and Luno runs out of the swimwear store at the sight of all the bathing suits (and Celestia in a tankini). Luno calms down, and then they decide to have lunch on a hillside. It is here Celestia decides to confess to Luno her big secret – she’s not really a man-hater.

My thoughts: Well I’m feeling better about Philuffy as a character. However vapid she may be, she genuinely cares for Lux as a friend (or maybe something more?) and does her best to be supportive of him. Even if, you know, she always seems to be semi-naked during their private chats.

I’m not sure what to think about Celestia yet. She says she’s not a man-hater, but she was still cold to Lux earlier. I’m guessing she’ll probably come around to him and be part of the harem eventually.

A random detail to point out that I thought was pretty neat: during the end credits, at the end of the song, we always see Lux dressed up in formal clothes holding flowers, with Lisha, Krucilfer and Philuffy arranged around him. However at the end of this episode, Lux is holding flowers while dressed up as Luno, and he looks really embarrassed. Arranged around him this time are the same three girls from all the previous episodes, except Celestia has been added to the group. Is this the show’s way of showing who is in the competition for Lux’s affections?
