Now I certainly hope you all are excited for 3 minutes of a girl eating random things! Because that’s exactly what you’re going to get with these two episodes! Well…honestly if you didn’t know that that’s what’s going on in this show by now…i’m not sure what to tell you. So the question is, what is our main girl going to eat in these two episodes? Well let’s find out! Well…except for the spoilers I gave you in the title.

So episode 7 opens up with Wakako deciding that she wants to eat something, but nothing too heavy. So she decides to go for Potato salad.

Well, to be fair, potato salad IS very exciting
Well, to be fair, potato salad IS very exciting

She comments on how it’s cheap and also how the place she’s at likes to keep the shape of the potato

Mother of god....I must put this potato salad in a frame!
Mother of god….I must put this potato salad in a frame!

She then talks about how the eggs in it are good. …huh. can’t say i’ve ever had potato salad with boiled eggs in them… but apparently according to a google search, a lot of people DO put eggs in potato salad….Well hush my mouth, you learn something new every day, don’t you?

Two guys then walk in and say “This sure is a great place, isn’t it?” to which she agrees.

I think that guy's nose is falling
I think that guy’s nose is falling off.

And that’s the end of the episode. Yeah okay, no one ever said this show had a plot or twists..or well…much of anything.

Episode 8 starts off with Wakako talking about how her skin doesn’t feel good and she feels uneasy. So she decides to eat Goya chanpuru. Now, you may be asking yourself, what the FUCK Goya Chanpuru is…to that I say..it’s this.

Whatever the hell THIS is
Whatever the hell THIS is

Hang on a sec while I look on google.

Let’s see wiki, what do you have for me?

“It is a stir fry of bitter melon, tofu, egg, and sliced pork or spam.”

Huh…well okay then.

Once again, I learned something new.

She then talks about how she likes Spam. …interesting because I didn’t know there was anybody who DID really like spam. Go figure.

Holy crap someone actually likes spam.
Holy crap someone actually likes spam.

She then talks about how the melon is bitter but good and how all the flavors mix together well. (I swear at times I think i’m reviewing Kofukku Graffiti again while watching this)

Eating all this makes her feel like she’s in Okinawa and it relaxes her mind.

It's just stir fry lady, calm your tits.
It’s just stir fry lady, calm your tits.

And that’s basically where the episode ends.

Once again, as it’s been for every other episode, there’s not a whole lot to say here. This chick apparently REALLY likes to try different dishes and I will give the show this, it’s completely obvious that it’s nothing but commercials for local dishes, but it does make the food look good i’ll give it that.

Episode 7 was a little better to me because I actually really like potato salad and that actually looked pretty good. Episode 8…I never saw that food before, and while it may be delicious, I never saw, nor tried, even while in Japan, and honestly, didn’t even look that good to me.

If you remove the openings, both these shows add up to about three minutes, and it really is just her eating food and talking about it as if she were Anton Ego’s assistant. (See if you get that reference there)

Really now? Please tell me how people eat things. I'm not sure how that works.

However, of course, at the end of the day, these shorts are harmless and are a nice relief if you want to get away from the plot heavy shows that are out there and just want to enjoy some relaxing “Girl trying some food” stuff.

Episode 7: 7/10

Episode 8: 6/10

I wonder what food she’ll eat next week! Oh boy! (tiny bit of sarcasm there, but I do still think this is cute)
