It looks like it’s our favorite time of the week. The time when we look at 4 monster girls living at this guy’s house and completely ignoring one of them because she sucks. ..Well…that’s what “I” do anyway. So was this episode good this week around? Well..I’ll let you all decide that. So let’s just jump into the episode.

The episode is actually split into two smaller episodes. The first one being about Miia (Oh joy). She is trying to make food for the main character, but is burning everything and is absolutely terrible. (Because..you know..it’s Miia)

ah...her awkwardness and pain is funny

After doing this, she tries to grab a pot, however she doesn’t bother to put on gloves and ends up burning her hands. This is unfortunate because it’s the time when she’s supposed to shed her skin. However, due to stress, her skin is shedding improperly and with her hands the way they are, she can’t peel it off herself. The next five minutes is suggestive situations with Miia being turned on at him pulling off her peeling skin.

It's hard to give a lengthy description because this is pretty much ALL it is

Eventually he peels off all the excess skin and to thank him, she makes him incredibly inedible food which nearly kills him.

to be fair, dying's probably a better option than being her husband.

That’s the end of the first of the two parts.

Part two starts off with him coming home and Papi has something important to tell him. Apparently she’s about to lay an egg. The other girls jump on him thinking he caused this, but then they realize that it’s more in the way that chicken lay unfertilized eggs.

And for once, Papi is very reserved in this episode. She isn’t crazy or loud the way she normally is. She’s very nervous about laying the egg and that’s when a guy shows up at the door saying he’s filming a documentary on the intercultural exchange.

Because yeah. He doesn't look creepy or suspicious at all

He starts asking questions that no real documentarian would ask like “are you wearing panties?” Which should have tipped them off right away. However they keep their thoughts in check because they realize that the reason they’re in this country is for cultural exchange.

He then does a bunch of creepy things….pretty much exactly what you’d expect a creepy obviously fake documentarian to do. It’s then time for her to lay the egg and of course the guys wants to film it.

Man, even IN context this still looks bad

It’s then that we learn of a power that Suu has, which is to read people’s minds. It turns out that this guy (obviously) is a creeper who plans on selling the egg and the video for a bunch of money…shocker.

What? You're telling me that's not the face of a guy you can trust?

They obviously take the camera from the guy and kick him out.

The guy gets frustrated when he returns back and we see that he’s actually hosting a monster girl of his own, being what will be our soon to be 6th tenant, Rachnea, who becomes intrigued with our main character, hearing about him.

And that’s where the episode ends.

So let’s see here. First off, this episode….it wasn’t very good. Okay, fine, if we’re being honest, it was pretty damn awful. The first half with Miia was pointless and stupid, having only to do with him peeling off her shed skin and it beings awkward, and the second half was incredibly uncomfortable as we knew basically from the start that this camera guy was a creeper.

One of the major flaws of this show seems to be that there’s no acceptable male character other than the main character. The only other three male characters we’ve interacted with are the camera creep, the guy who made fun of Miia and nearly ran over children, and the police officer who looked like he was going to deport them. It’s interesting how there’s NO other men in this show that are even remotely nice or acceptable. I understand this is a harem show, but…come on guys, there’s got to be at least SOME nice dudes around there.

You're telling me THIS guy is supposed to represent 25% of our gender? Oh god....
You’re telling me THIS guy is supposed to represent 25% of our gender? Oh god….

Getting of that for a moment, there was absolutely nothing to this episode. The first half got as close to soft core porn as it possibly could, but contained no substance. There was no plot or forwarding of the story. It’s literally 10 minutes of him peeling skin off. Um…hooray?

The second part just made me feel uncomfortable. I didn’t enjoy it, I just sat there going “Ugh, I feel dirty”.

The one thing I am excited about is Rachnea entering the story. Seeing her in the theme song I did something I don’t normally do and that’s read a bit into the character on Wiki before they appear in the show. I have to say from what I read on her it intrigued me and she’s actually the character i’m interested in learning the most about. (Of course she comes in last because why not?) So if anything good came out of this episode it’s that I know next episode she’ll be here. So…that’s good I guess.

Overall, definitely the weakest episode so far and not one i’m going to revisit anytime soon.

Episode 3/10
