This week’s episode of Go! Princess Precure was simply adorable. It appears we are now at the stage where the next couple of episodes will not have a lot of plot development and more of the girls just having a break while the enemy prepares their new plan. The OP was finally updated, making the adjustments of Towa’s addition as Cure Scarlet, as well as indicating how Lock isn’t the only new problem coming their way! It appears the next subordinates with a rabbit and mouse silhouette! It doesn’t look like Crow is ever going to make a return, but poor Shut, it doesn’t look like he is going to get any stronger or gain any new found respect with new recruitment being added to the party.
And honestly, I think this episode proved just how difficult it will be for Shut to find his place in Dyspear’s team. Shut couldn’t find anyone with any source of despair, so he turned to a freaking Cicida to lock its dream and turn it into a Zetsuborg (which later undergone three evolutions). It just shows how desperate he is to find any source of success and how frustrated he is. Like many others sure have felt, it was kind of a bummer how Shut didn’t flinch this episode (but we all knew better it wasn’t going to happen). Many of us are hoping for a redemption arc for him, but as long as he stays angry at the Precure and Towa, there won’t be room for an open heart. On top of that, Towa isn’t even wasting her breath to try and talk him through, and as long as she keeps that up, I don’t think we can expect any reconciliation from either of them, period.

Overall it was a sweet episode and one to simply enjoy (Towa so precious!!!). It was silly, it was funny, and of course crazy because, I mean seriously- a tiny Cicida’s dream was locked away! Oh my gosh, the danger! Of course it later became a more serious threat once it evolved to its final evolution (which conveniently happened only once the girls have finally arrived). The only thing that I have mixed opinions about is the whole transformation process with Aroma and Pafu. I can’t take it seriously because it was only meant to be taken as a joke because I feel no significance from it. Hell, Miss Shamour even said this was the first time she seen it (as it was only a myth) so clearly, this was simply done just for the hell of it- because why not in an episode where a freaking bug of all things is turned into the a zetsuborg!

Then there was the brand new ED Theme. Okay, I hate to say it- but god- the CGI is horrendous. The girls looked SO MUCH better in the other one, hell- the new texture they are using makes them look like plastic dolls suffering from burns! I know it is supposed to be a blush, but it looks more like a burn….

Next week: Summer Festival! I am actually surprised they are bringing Yuuki back into the picture. We all know he has a crush on Haruka and he has seen Flora, so I am curious to see what will happen.

This episode is really cool and it’s cute, especially for Pafu and Aroma. 🙂
And I must say, Shut is really having a bad day and another as long as he has to be working for Dyspear. I pity him too. I hope he has a good future in this series, but we all must wait to see if his fate will be bad or good.
About the opening I was very surprised and very happy for having many new addings, including especially the new member of the Go! Princess Precure! Hooray for Towa/Cure Scarlet!! XD
And I wonder what kind of the new two villains will be in the future.
I like the part when Pafu was trying to catch that Zetsuborg with a net and told those villains to be quiet for Towa. Then Aroma arrives at a good timing and works really well with Pafu thanks for her developed courage! And yet she provokes the Zetsuborg into Aroma’s trap pretty well and in a cute “funjoyable” way! Ahahahahahhaha! XD
Not to mention the part when Pafu cover her ears (like Shut could do it) and helps Aroma to flinch the Zetsuborh was really cool too! Go fairies! 😀
And another thing, I never imagined that a wild animal (not being a Homo sapiens) can be turned into a Zetsuborg, but good thing they have dreams too. 🙂
Needless to say, that it’s one unusual, unpredictable and funny Zetsuborg in this series. Maybe a new one(s) like that may yet appear in a new episode.
And to be honest, Eva, I felt okay with CGI precures, even though it’s new and different than the first ED theme. And I really like the new music theme!
Now for the next episode, oh my God, I wonder what will happen! Will Yuuki find out about Haruka being a precure (similar to
Daisuke in Fresh and Seiji in Happiness Charge) or maybe not?! Ganbatte Haruka/Cure Flora! 😀

LOL! It was hilarious how the Dorm Lady was watching from the balcony of Pafu running around with the net going, “How cute!” LOLOLOOL!!!
Well I certainly give credit to the new ED Song, at least that was good! XD

I agree with that moment of the Dorm Lady too, Eva. At least she exposed the sheets, which proved important in one moment for the fairies. 🙂

Even if Towachi was already the fire princess, the scorching hot fever has a damn room for her. I was take a deep sigh and said to myself that even Cures had health risks after all (technically they’re just Earthlings/extraterrestrial beings). Though so, I was happy for Towachi that she sidentityed in despite the illness (man, I love that burning kick of hers on the cicada Zetsuborg!).
The part when Puff was just wanna play with the monster, saying, “come and get me!” made me laugh. In other words, having a tagged game with it and Aroma got the chance to use the white cloth to trap the Zetsuborg in a little boom. But there goes Shirogane-san! Damn, she was just saw Puff talking yet with a blink (oh well since only Yui-Yui knows about the Princess Cures’ identities as well as Puff and Aroma’s existence). :3
The Royal Fairy emblems that we’ve seen firstly in the upcoming movie’s trailers weren’t a one-off thingy anymore. Because if Kanata were in that situation, surely he’d be happy about their amazing makeover I swear. Though I was wondering about where the herb tea that Aroma was holding come from, and it was clearly from Ms. Sharmour.
Good thing that Towachi’s illness wasn’t worsened, although it quite reminds me of Milk getting a fever and Karen took care of her in Yes! 5; but this one’s different – it’s the mascots taking care of an ill-ridden Cure.
Shut on the other hand, well as I think that he still has a slight chance to switched sides, but it totally depends. The ver. 2.0 OP was very nice, something like adding some sugar and spice on everything nice, including the expected new generals aka Dark Mickey Mouse-styled Daft Punk (that’s just my nickname for now until we’ll get their official names very soon), adding touches of Scarlet especially with the one alongside Yui-Yui and the supporting characters bandwagon above the walk.
The 2nd ED, hmm… Well, I found it pretty fine and alright. As in, something Disney-ish for the CGI plus the song is so, so elegant (snap, I say that word again!) I like it so far, yet I wonder if it would something like the Smile ED2 with the Cures’ names in each lyric. Let’s just wait and see.
And… Yuuki-kun has finally back at last!?Whoa, the GPPC season proved that Flora already has two “Prince Charmings!” The one who’s once bullied but now adjusting on the gal and the one who encouraged more on her dreams. Shoot, I hope Haru-Haru wouldn’t be busted out in keeping her Cure identity from Yuuki-kun (Yui-Yui, do something!!!)! >o<

Whoa, what a nice nickname you gave for the new coming generals of Dyspear, Keiko!
Now we must wait for the next episode to arrive and see what will happen to Yuuki. 🙂

    2. Eva

Agree! Best nicknames for the new generals!!!!!
Ah I see, I haven’t seen the previews so I wasn’t aware of that, but it is good to hear there will be a carry-over purpose.

Oh yeah, a huge speculation about the possible fifth Princess Cure came out on the internet this week, so yeah, I already joined the bandwagon)! If there is then I am suspecting that everybody has been talking about Yui-Yui. Although I’d still rather for her to remain as a Cure helper till the finale, yet who knows that if she might be it? If not, well I’d respect that verdict. But the doors won’t still be closed for the further possibilities on Yui-Yui to have something majorly important in the remaining episodes of the season.

        1. Eva

Yes I actually I started wondering about that too, but rather from hearing from the rumor itself, it was when I saw the Go! Princess Precure movie poster with that pastel pink haired girl! I wonder if she will be a character we will see in the TV Series, she is ridiculously cute! I LOVE HER DESIGN (WOULD TOTALLY COSPLAY THAT). What a waste it would be if she only appears in the film…. Hahahaha.
           alt=
; v ; It would be nice if Yui could get a bigger role. Poor girl is only getting a glimpse or less screetime now a days. What makes me sad though is she doesn’t really have a role at all. She is just… there…

          1. Keiko

Let’s have faith! Though Yui-Yui’s now the most active supporting character in GPPC so far (and possibly surpassed Seiji’s record-breaking number of episode appearances), I think the staff would probably prepare something for her which would surprise us.
And when that rumored diary-like device would become real, then snap! Yui-Yui would become the first half-Cure heroine and half- helper in the Cure Series franchise, although I’d rather still remain her current status till the finale (gosh, just look at Seiji!).
Off topic, I recently done watching the latest Pretty Cure All-Stars movie, Haru no Carnival, so… It was a big okay for me and getting some nostalgia feels on the 9 past theme songs of the anime plus the now first ED of Go! Princess.

            1. Marcos Pinheiro

I would really be very happy if Nanase Yui becomes a Precure, and yet, ever since I saw her in the very first episode, I had a feeling that she’s going to be more than just a good friend of Haruka. And in the episodes 10 and 11, she really impressed me of how much she really cares for Haruka and how brave and strong she is. And I love when there’s a sidekick in this series. And I agree with Eva that she deserves to appear more often or gain a crucial role.
Let’s wait and see in the next episodes. 🙂

              1. Keiko

Seems to me that things were getting more interesting and more intense before, like I said, the big climax of the season. I have the same feeling as you, Marcos-kun, I’ve been predicted too much on Yui-Yui that she’s gonna be passed the baton from Seiji as a Cure helper and it did! Then, I remember her quote from episode 12 says, “I want to help everyone! But I can’t really fight…”
You know what, I already began to getting more stressed on Yui-Yui now rather than her Happiness Charge counterpart (although our Cure helper from last year was excel in karate), because from what I saw her evacuating the peeps during a Dys Dark fight, I then came up into my mind that she has the internal power to protect all of our dreams so much in any way she can. Also, a resourceful girl I must say, at the same time, admire and adore.

                1. Marcos Pinheiro

Agreed and true, Keiko. Yui certainly has potencial and she protects the others by guiding them away from the Zetsuborg’s menace ever since episode 12. Sometimes, her behaviour is like the Alice’s butler, Sebastian, which also did the same thing in the series. She’s not just cute, but brave and smart. 🙂
