Last week, we ended with Nicolas about to fight another Tag with the same ranking as himself A/0, which I assume is the highest that you can get. The battle between them rages on for a good chunk of the episode, however, that isn’t nearly the only thing we focus on this episode. First we’ll talk about  Alex.

Who while not involved in the central plot of the story is suffering PSTD in her own part of the story. She remembers her old owner and logically, she’s aware that he’s dead. Yet he keeps haunting her. Giving her hallucinations of his rotting corpse, reminding her of what she was. She’s physically escaped her oppressor but not yet mentally. At the end of the episode, you see a man with an umbrella approaching the office that she is convinced in her old boss. I believe that it’s actually Doctor Theo, but that’s just my theory.

Meanwhile, we learn about the guild. A place that has Twilight’s/tags and regulates them in accordance to the three laws. Which this kid fighting Nicolas seems to have turned a blind eye too. So the head of the place and her underling head out to reel this kid in before he gets into a lot of trouble.

The fight between Nicolas and the kid is going strong, but while the kid is wearing down over time. Nicolas doesn’t seem to be effected at all, why is this? Because he’s overdosed on the medication that the Twilight’s take. Again! So uh, remember the other episode when I was worried he was headed down the same path as that girl? Well he really could be if he doesn’t knock this habit of overdosing.
The guild leader comes and knocks Nicolas and the kid full of ‘downers’ which are the opposite of the drug that Nicolas was overdoing on.

Then she leaves Worick with not just Nicolas but the kid as well, he has to carry them both. In the pouring rain to Doctor Theo’s place, since apparently downers knock you massively loopy.
This was an amazing episode, it’s hard to say that this anime is realistic with such strange ideas as tags. However, it tackles real issues, such as trauma, physical disabilities and drug use. That’s what I honestly love about it the most.

Now, let’s get next episode out so I can find out who was at the door. Am I right? Was it Doctor Theo? Is it someone else? Is Alex okay? I’m really worried. Like, it took all my will power not to rip the manga off the shelf during my last trip to the bookstore worried! ALEX!

So Gangsta has it’s own Balalaika and she has supper powers and an entire guild of people with same powers. Yeah, life is not good.
