Fate/Stay Night episode 9 or How Kirei Kotomine missed out on becoming my favorite character of all times.

You had one job Kirei! One bloody job, when this sniveling little bitch was in your church you could of just stabbed him and you would of transcended Gilgamesh, Ryuunosuke, Light Yagami, Kagari, Ginoza and Shuuya Kano in my heart and I just listed you most of my favorite anime characters! IT WOULD OF BEEN SO EASY!

YES!
YES!

I mean first off, look at Shinji. He just has a face the world would be better off without and then to top that off the little bitch was saying bad things about Rider. Nobody insults Rider on my watch and gets away with it…unless Kirei decides to give him a new servant.

SON OF A-

Gah, that aside the rest of the episode is nearly perfection. First off with have Rin and Shirou and their never ending quest to find Casters master. Rin seems to think it’s Shirou’s friend Issei since he lives at the Ryuudou temple the base of operations for Caster. So Shirou says that he’ll make sure that his friend is not Casters master, how does he plan to do this you ask?

By stripping him down and looking for command seals that’s how. Now on a level of one to totally awkward I’d rate this scene somewhere between “OMG SO AWKWARD” and “so…are we still friends?” awkward. I also just want to leave you with these images of him with his shirt off because my megane fetish is acting up again and daaaammmnnnn.

I always wished he was more of a major character.

So upon confirming that Issei is not Casters master, Shirou goes to tell Rin only to find that she has already left the school. He heads to check on Sakura and finds Rin there. WOAH, um, Rin, getting a little close there. He can feel your boobs.

Oh that’s why, they’re hiding and for good reason, for some strange reason Gil is standing outside the Matou household. This is the second time in this series we’ve seen Gil linked to Sakura. I’m getting kind of scared.

After Gil leaves and Rin and Shirou turn around to head back their home and have a rather interesting conversation. AH, there is so much I could say about this dialogue but it’s all spoilers. I think it makes up part of the episode title as well. I will note this dialogue for later so I may come back to it at a proper time.

Let’s see, what else happens in this episode? There is the scene near the beginning with Arhcer, talk of the repercussions of last episode.  It’s like there is always a lot of content to talk about. The team at Ufotable is so good at writing subtle emotions into conversations that you really feel every little thing. From the conversation with Rin to the emotions Shirou is feeling as he talks about what makes him want to be a hero of justice.

The weight of the things Archer said and how he is seeming to realize that the drive really comes from his desire to be more like Kiritsugu.

This series has succeeded in one thing and that’s making me care, one way or another about all of the characters. From Shirou and Rin and the weight of their feelings to wanting Shinji to die in a fire. I care one way or another. As always I feel like my posts only scratch the surface of everything that goes on in a single episode of Fate for the full experience everyone should be watching this series. This one and Fate/Zero, let’s pretend the Studio Deen one never happened okay? From now on, I’m erasing it from history.

    “You had one job Kirei!”

Unfortunately, Kirei himself is one of the most underhanded, despicable, evil abominations to ever deface this series, so he has no problems whatsover with using that disgusting rapist !#&$bag for his own ends.

Oh i know Kirei is human scum but one could wish he’d use that evil to murder Shinji in the middle of a church…but he’s his own special kind of evil
