Two minutes. In this 24 minute show, only two minutes actually passed. All that fighting, and it was only two minutes.

We’re learning a lot more about these gross roaches. The roach that landed on the escape vessel seemed different from the other roaches they’ve faced. This one has huge legs, and it’s obvious it didn’t fly to them. It jumped. Alex takes his medicine and tried taking on the roach but gets kicked off. Then the roach goes inside the vessel and drives off with it with everyone still inside. Yeah, that shit was driving. Grand Theft Auto: Mars Edition. What the fuck…what was even weirder was that it didn’t even kill the people inside, it was just driving. Taking them somewhere perhaps? I hate having to guess what these fuckers are gonna do. While it was driving, with the help of Alex throwing rocks at the roach, Akira’s strings were attached and he was able to climb with his strings and into the vessel. He even tied strings to the people inside, and he let them out, everyone’s falling but they’re caught by Alex (whose mutation seems to have come from a bird because he was flying) and he let them all down where it was safe. Akira’s busy fighting the roach, but he notes the legs too. Grasshopper legs. Where did it get grasshopper legs?

Meanwhile with Michelle, she’s having trouble escaping underwater. She notes the weird shape of the roach, the legs looking like flippers (or whatever), and the suckers on its hands. Then she realizes it’s not just a roach, it’s also a diving beetle. But how? Why is there a roach mixed with a grasshopper, and why is there another one mixed with a diving beetle?

I had been thinking about this ever since that one roach killed Sheila with that weird acid attack, but I always thought that these damn roaches took these abilities from the previous BUGS 2 members. They were killed, and they were probably eaten or something. I have no idea how they got their abilities, but these roaches used their corpses on themselves. That explains their new attacks, mutations, and intelligence (like the driving I mean wtf).

tf6.34Both Michelle and Akira were able to realize that. And to sum up Akira’s fight short, he won but he got one hell of a beating. As for Michelle, she was able to break one of those things arms and almost swam to the surface until the thing dragged her down again. It wasn’t until she trapped the roach in a leg lock, and they both drifted down together. Michelle was planning on sacrificing herself, to suffocate the roach since the diving beetle can only sustain itself underwater for so long. She would have died, but somehow Akira had tied his strings to Michelle’s body, and connected those strings to the escape vessel. So when they were far enough, the ship pulled Michelle out of the water before she had died of suffocation. YAY.

And that’s basically what happened. At the end, Akira had gotten an SOS transmission from one of the divisions, and we see that Asimov’s group is in trouble. The episode was pretty cool, but it was only meh. It was good learning about the roaches. There’s something about them, and they want something. Akira’s pretty smart, but I wish we got to see more of Alex’s abilities. Glad Michelle’s okay. I’m just worried since this show is only going to have 13 episodes, and with its pacing only focusing on a couple divisions, it can be a little boring. I am happy that we’re going to see Asimov’s division, but I do wonder about the others.

And you know what I just noticed? These pieces of shit have teeth. These roaches have teeth. Ew.
