Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis Episode 3
In the beginning of the episode, we can see that the heavens are starting the crumble and where the land of the Orelean Knights is suffering from a massive sandstorm due to the missing God Key – Balance between Godkind and Demonkind is destroyed. On the road to their next bounty, Favaro goes through a tough bout to get an antidote and he asks Amira why she couldn’t just fly up and get it. Amira explains that she is a one winged demon due to her struggle to get the God Key. She infiltrated holy ground (which is supposed to be impossible for demons) and broke the seal of the God Key using a spell (that only gods can use) in order to absorb the soul of the key – The key isn’t an object but it is inside of her, making Amira the God Key. In the mist of trying to leave holy ground, one of her wings was shot off.
Meanwhile, Kaisar finds himself weak in the woods of Nebleville. Saved by a young girl, her family nurses him back to health and wraps his, now broken, arm. During dinner, the young girl (named Rita) seems to completely disrespect her parents by refusing dinner and going out on the porch. Trying to empathize, Kaisar tells her the story of his own family: Coming from a long line of Knights, his father led a troupe of knights that were hired to guard the King’s tribute but they were ambushed and the tribute was stolen. Because his father was in charge, he was held accountable and hanged. His mother suffered depression because of it and threw herself into a lake. Rita’s family asks him to fight off the monsters that have been terrorizing their town but when he goes out to fight – It’s just Amira and Favaro. When they throw him a mask with the antidote they made earlier smeared on it , his hallucinations subside and he can see the town for what it is – Decrepit and full of zombies!
Upon defeating the zombies, Favaro tells Kaisar that the town was invaded by monsters 200 years earlier leaving Rita as the only survivor. Her father was a sorceror, so she used his Black Bible to perform necromancy. I’m not sure if it was because he saw himself in Rita but when her parents bit her and she became a zombie, Kaisar became extremely emotional. I wonder if he’s still going to pursue Favaro now that he saved his life or perhaps simply listen to what caused him to get the demon tail.
