OH SNAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

Impression
I am fairly certain that we all knew that as the battle dragged on, Masumi, Hokuto and Yaida were in deep, deep trouble. I kept on checking the time left remaining in the episode because I was anticipating it blowing up in their faces, big time.
And boy, did it end badly! Shun was able to turn the tables with only 10 LP remaining and then with XYZ Raptor Rise Falcon’s monster effect, it went from only 100 ATK to 16400 ATK by adding up the total of his opponent’s monsters’ ATK. Man was that satisfying to watch.
Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V Ep 24 Img 0029I am not going to lie, it was both a surprise and quite refreshing to see them cut straight to the chase. I can’t remember the last time I have actually experienced that. At first it was confusing because I initially thought my cat had hit the keyboard and caused the episode skipped ahead, but it turned out that was how quickly the episode kicked off. Today covered Masumi, Hokuto and Yaida undergoing an operation to deal and apprehend Shun (they were being monitored and had back up ready for action). The stupidest part was how they were being all haughty and was basically boasting about how grand their plan was, which of course ended up blowing up in their faces! It was baffling how recklessly they approached this situation despite the fact they have backups ready to apprehend Shun or deal with him. I knew trouble was brewing just by the sole fact that Shun looked bored, unfazed and later became ticked off that he was wasting his time (I felt the same- I was like, “Come on… Are you done yet?”) with these duelists showing off in attempt to intimidate him. (PSA: Don’t make Shun mad!)
While the duel went on, we were FINALLY given some answers by Yuuto (who have now formerly introduced himself to Yuzu). He explained to her of their motives of trying to find their captured comrades (namely Ruri who was revealed to be Shun’s sister) and pursue their mission to end the conflict and create a world where nobody has to get hurt. It is certainly not any sort of an fresh concept, but I am more curious about what motivated them to follow that dream. However the bigger question is: Where and perhaps when are they from? We know from Yuuto’s memories and Shun’s explanation today that they have been living a difficult life, they are survivors who were constantly stomped on in the past, thus it was important for them to become stronger for the sake of defending themselves. Their enemy is still for most part a mystery. The only hint we have is that they supposedly use Fusion Summonings, that’s why Yuuto had initially discouraged Yuzu to walk down that path. It makes me question whether Sora may have any sort of involvement or may be from that time period or place were the battle between these two groups raged on.

*Attempts to rip off shipping goggles… fails* GOD DAMN IT, WHY MUST THIS LOOK SO ROMANTIC! THIS IS ALL YUUTO’S FAULT! WHY MUST YOU LOOK SO HANDSOME IN THIS SCENE?!

While speaking with Yuuto, Yuzu called him out on his actions and made a lot of valid points. When she explained her reasons for wanting to learn the Fusion Summoning in the first place, Yuuto responded to her that if she has no choice but to fight, he wants her to survive- even if it means using Fusion Summon to do so. (Was it just me who found that touching? It made my heart all warm and fuzzy!) As he said that his actions and the way he had spoken reminded her of Yuuya once again.
This is definitely going to be one of the mysteries that will be driving us nuts for a while! Is Yuuto Yuuya from an Alternative Universe/Parallel World/Future? At the moment it certainly seems likely as Yuzu looks and said to behave/speak like Ruri (who we have still yet to see… (why do I have feeling we might see her in the tournament? Not sure if want…)).
I have to say I was not even slightly surprised to see that Gongenzaka is Yuuya’s final opponent in order to be eligible to compete in the tournament. I am sure that regardless of whether or not Gongenzaka loses, he will be in the tournament, or perhaps he will deliberately choose to sit out for the sake of observing the competitors to learn how he can shape up his own dueling further.
Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V Ep 24 Img 0038It doesn’t look like we are going to have the opportunity to see the duel between Shun VS Reiji- one I would definitely LOVE see Shun win (because of reasons…) But I certainly hope we will see them compete sooner than later. Perhaps even, Reiji will formally invite Shun to compete in the tournament, to force him to battle in front of an audience and plow his way through the competition to compete against Reiji. It would certainly be interesting if that were to happen since Yuuya and Shun are bound to duel each other eventually.

I didn’t mind the LDS Trio being overconfident, I liked their dynamics and they supported each other pretty well. I’m pretty sure that it’s not that common to use a deck that activate effects from the graveyard, save some exceptions/plot armor cards and Kiryu’s deck being the only archetype focused on that, so bouncing the monster back to your hand(Hokuto’s play), destroying your hand(Yaiba’s play) can be a killer to a lot of players, and they swarmed the field with powerfull monsters, so I think they had a reson to feel overconfident, at first it seemed that he wouldn’t haven any countermeasure, but they couldn’t have guessed that his cards’ effect only activate from the graveyard. I felt that the only glaring issue was Masumi not going for a direct attack, but then again, you have more cards focused on negating direct attack than dealing wth burn damage, so I’m pretty cool with that, hopefully, now that they survived they can look for improvement and become stronger.
I liked your idea of Reiji inviting Shun to participate in the tournament, but that would mean that Yuto won’t D:, and speaking of Yuto, lol, I totally agree with that scene, I knew we were supposed to pay attention to the plot, and I stayed firm on the ground, but when he gave that gentle smile to Yuzu(First time I ever seen him smiling) and him supporting her decision to use Fusion I squealed, The last two episodes are a blessing for people who ship both Yuzu with Yuya and Yuto XD.
I would like to see Ruri, I’m curious to see what she looks like and her deck too! I also want to see her interacting with Yuya for shipping purposes*bricked*, I mean, we already ship Yuto with Yuzu so it’s only fair right?*bricked again*
Other thing that people are pointing out and I hilarious agree is that everyone except Yuya, the protagonist, Is meeting the plot while he was knocked before he was even aware that it was a plot XD

Oh yes, their team dynamic was definitely a plus. It highlights how much they care for each other and also showcases their softer side (though we have been seeing that a bit more as they have acknowledged that Yuuya is not the culprit). The only thing that cracks me up though now that I think about it is: NAKAMA POWER FAIL.

      I APPROVE THIS IDEA. 8Db

since after every yuya dual we get a dark dualist episode i hope we will get a episode of reiji vs shun or yuto after the yuya vs gonzenzaka dual next episode

Yeah, unfortunately they over-extended. The other two were setting up Masumi to OTK on her turn…and while she was technically with burn damage, if she just attacked with both of her monsters they would have won (that’s the down-side of anime dueling, you can’t ask to see the effects of your opponent’s cards.). Despite that, had Hokuto saved one of his XYZ materials for Pleiades then they could have bounced back Shun’s XYZ monster on his turn.
Gact-damn Yuuto! I’m trying to figure out your age along with everyone elses but your handsomeness in that picture makes you look older!

Good Episode! I could tell Shun was going to win this Duel the look on his face gave it away.
I hope that Shun duels Reiji that will be a duel to see! I love the part where Yuto smiled at Yuzu and supported her trying to protect her friends.
Finally Yuzu knows Yuto’s name. Now we know Ruri is Shun little Sister. That’s good to know because that means Shun and Ruri are not lovers just brother and sister. But that means Yuto and Ruri most be lovers then that would explain why Yuto is protective of Yuzu because she looks like her. But I think it would be cool if we got to see Ruri. But I think Yuya should be the first to see Ruri.
But if Ruri appears will Yuzu get to see her? Or is it going to be like when Yuzu comes close to Yuya when Ruri is by him she will get teleported away from him just like when Yuya gets close to Yuzu when Yuto is by her he gets teleported away from her? Also I am wondering if Yuya will ever get to meet Yuto? I am really curious what Yuya and Yuto will think of each other.
I am a little confused about Yuto and Shun enemy because Yuto said that their enemy uses Fusion Summoning but why are they targeting LSD then? LSD doesn’t just do Fusion Summoning they do XYZ Summoning and Synchro Summoning also.
