Happiness Charge Precure Ep 11 Img 0015So… basically, Yuuko is actually a Cure Clover, but because she likes Honey she calls herself Cure Honey. We were shown today that Yuuko’s world literally revolves around food. She is extremely passionate about it, which is why she wants people to enjoy their meals and be happy. Yuuko became a Precure Warrior not too long before Megumi thanks to having come across one of Blue’s Love Crystals that he would occasionally spread around the world to produce Precures. For this entire time, Blue and Yuuko had always known each other. We also learned that Yuuko is probably not going to be participating in physical battles because she doesn’t like to fight, hence that is why she sings. However that will serve as her weak-point which was showcased today as Namakeruda unlike General Oresky (much to my surprise) was not affected by her performance. I actually liked that because it shows us that the villains each have their own unique traits that can give them the upper hand against certain Precures. Had Cure Honey been facing off Namakeruda alone, she either would have had to retreat, lose, or fight in order to free herself. That being said, for the love of god- I genuinely hope she will have another bloody song to sing because I can’t stand it anymore, I simply mute it. Cure Honey needs a Mermaid Melody moment where she can have an actual song selection instead of singing the same song over and over again.
The reason why Yuuko had never told the girls until last week  that she too was a Precure, was actually because she was too embarrassed due to being so happy when she found out Hime and Megumi were also Precures. I found this to be actually cute because Yuuko is an adorable and a loveable character. She brings a different kind of liveliness to the group and I am happy to see this other side of her since from the very beginning, she was always portrayed as a mature character. Now that she is officially added the the group, I am excited to Cure Fortune’s addition which probably won’t be for another five episodes, minimum.
Happiness Charge Precure Ep 11 Img 0005Last but not least, my favourite part of the episode. It was a short and brief scene, but I went wild at the slightest hint of PLOT! This was my literal reaction while taking notes: “Oh interesting PLOT!!! PLOT!!! WE FINALLY GET A GLIMSPE OF THE PLOT!” THIS. IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!!!
Queen Mirage told us a small, but vital piece of information today. She thinks she can’t be cured, her wounds runs too deep. Not even Cure Honey’s song can heal her. That tiny piece of information literally renewed my energy to stick around a bit longer for the sake of the plot. There are all sorts of theories we can come up with just that, but I think a lot of us are leaning towards the theory she is most likely suffering from a broken heart, or maybe she lost hers… Either way, there is something there, and I can’t wait to find out what it will be about!

It’s too late in the night for me to watch this episode right now, I’ll have to catch this tomorrow. However, about the queen, if you watch the OP there’s a bit with a black-haired girl crying who’s image turns into Queen Mirage (who has that tear-shaped mark on her cheek) with a shot of Blue looking sad in the background. Then she moves off and the camera focuses on him and he turns and opens his mouth as if to call after her, then stops and closes his eyes as if giving up. At the same time the dark mirror from Queen Mirage’s throne room appears in the background, first with just a shadowy human shape in it, but then with an evil glowing red grin.
I can’t say for sure what all that means, but there’s lots of theories that could be built on it. The idea that Mirage may have been someone completely different before she ended up becoming evil is certainly well within the scope of a Precure series.

Now that I’ve seen the episode there’s not too much more to say than what you’ve said already. Just one thing comes to mind: I think they overdid it with Yuuko’s finisher. Sure, dropping an astroid-sized clover on the enemy from orbit looks pretty awesome, but this is just her first finisher. She’s going to have to power up at some point, which means they need to be able to give her something that’s recognizably MORE powerful than that, and when you’re already starting on that scale, increasing it becomes… difficult.

*CACKLES* IKR! IT WAS SO OVER THE TOP!!!! They should have had her send a bunch of clovers flying like a razor leaf move. But then again, all the girls’ final strikes is pretty big to begin with, “MEGA STAR!” “MEGA HEARTS!” “MEGA CLOVER!” I mean yeah, they really set the bar high for making the power ups even more over the top than that!
What I find most interesting about Mirage, is that she is a “villain” (quotations because you really wonder about that since it appears she is more of a “victim”) who actually showed us that she wants to be cured. Villains usually don’t care about that, but Mirage, she’s different. I definitely noticed the girl in the OP, but in the beginning of the series I initially had thought it was Cure Fortune (after all Purple Precures are ALWAYS sad or have some sort of sad backstory ahaha as of the late), but you may be right that the girl who is crying may in face be Mirage.
