Keith’s my favorite prince anyway, out of the one’s I have played. WHAT SOME OF US CAN’T AFFORD TO SPEND ALL OUR MONEY ON VOLTAGE GAMES /I’VE STILL SPENT WAY TOO MUCH ON THEM/ It’s safe to say at this point my palette of Voltage games is very distinct. Be my Princess was actually the second game I bought, after My Forged Wedding. And I ended up buying basically. . . half? The Routes? Because I wanted relationships moving forward, not this stagnant state of affairs most offer. Okay obviously you’re getting married just do it already then have a bunch of cute stories to satisfy my inner fangirl!

This story starts with Keith coming to pick you up from school. As has been established in his romance, he is weepy and jealous and really wants you to come live with him at his manse and COME ON HE IS SO RICH YOU COULD TAKE CLASSES ONLINE AND, cough, uhm. Independence and. . .  self personality! Totally respect that butthinkofallthatsmuttysmutsmutsmut what? I’m a pervert get off my back. Loveyness ensues, and then, the most. . .stupid and trivial stuff ever that happens in every Voltage game ever occurs.

The, THERE MUST BE A NEW DRAMA AND ANGST!!! You can’t just have woes of your own and have your boyfriend fiance soon to be husband cheer you up and stick up for you. Nope, last minute trivial bitching must always occur without exception. No matter what drama was coming before Kate Upton’s wedding the rest of us were freaking out and going “Kate is so amazing!!!” so I dunno why they wasted time and didn’t just let me have personal stuff. And I mean the issues were fine enough, but is it so much to ask that they realize I want to see the main character’s feelings change, not just her opinions on the current new drama? I am very fond of emotional growth, and I’m tired of it happening in between sequels and specials.

That being said I love Keith with the burning fiery passion so I overlooked the flaws.

And boy are there flaws.

Dear Voltage: GET YOUR SPRITES RIGHT! TIME YOUR SCENE CHANGES!!!! SO MANY THINGS WERE WRONG IN THIS ADAPTATION MY GOD!!! Fix your damn coding before you release it it’s AWFUL!

Just terrible, the coding in this is SO BAD. The translation is fine but if you don’t code right. . . I mean they had Wilfred speak and they showed Roberto’s sprite. . . lmao. . . wtf. .  . .

In any case who the shit can hate a story where the point is YOU GET TO BE MARRIED AND KAWAII DESU NE so who can really hate this the major premise is “a prince loves you and you get to be married and everything” come to think of it I should probably romance Wilfred one of these days, but Keith and Joshua are my waifus how can I betray them? Also I’m broke /sings a sad song about being broke/ but this route was an immediate buy. I SNAPPED THIS UP ALMOST FASTER THAN EVERY ADD ON IN IN YOUR ARMS TONIGHT ~sparkles~

Other than the terrible awful errors, there’s not much wrong. As usual the MC freaks out and given that in BMP her actions affect a nation, that’s fine by me. She’s not exactly making it all up. I have to say it is fun, it is worth playing, and it’s a nice conclusion to the Keith storyline. That being said it has the same problem BmP has in general, a main character who at most can voice her concern to the other princes but never make a difference. And that’s always a bother.

But hey, it has sweet dialogue and it’s a wonderful way to wrap up. It’s got it’s issues, but it’s not that bad.

OKI’S THROWDOWN RATING:

6/10 – Enjoyable, but nothing special given the errors

OKI THROWS IT DOWN AN ENTERTAINMENT CHUTE MEANT SOLELY FOR SLIGHTLY PORNISH CONTENT.

Playable, Yes, Enjoyable, mostly

Re-playability, quite terrible, the different endings are a farce and a waste of time.

As usual, good art. Play it if you like the tsundere of Keith.

and if you can overlook some serious programming errors ffs
