They ended the world. Nice one Tsukushi. The Steel King has finally done it, committed an impossible crime and… well, that all happens at the end of the episode… Let’s discuss everything that leads up to that point! That is, cute girls, young girls, underage girls… I feel unclean!

This episode was all about the comedy… and I’m not complaining! Firstly, the humor in this episode was amazing, like, seriously, I haven’t laughed this much at an anime in a LONG time (a part from Amnesia because I found it hilariously BAD inept) and it is an AMAZING feeling. As of right now this anime is my favorite this season, hands down. But what about Shingeki?! Get over yourself you damned fan boys/girls!… Okay that was mean, I like Shingeki, I really do, but do you have to flaunt you love for it that much? But I digress (Shingeki no Kyojin is my second favorite show this season)… The scene in which Tsukiko is destroying Youto’s porn and hentai games is the best, how he shamelessly (and ignorantly) details his perfect female companion (who is seemingly the opposite of Tsukiko) and how Tsukiko then (also shamelessly) continues to destroy his games at an even faster pace… Oh Tsukiko, I do love thee so. It is the potent mixture of comedy and slight story progression that keeps the viewer enthralled throughout the episode (although a certain scene with a certain blonde haired girl and some certain handcuffs didn’t hurt or hinder my ‘interests’) and even though this ‘ever so slight story progression’ may seem like an odd thing to be praising in an anime, it’s actually quite nice for a change. Allow me to explain: in some shows (romantic comedies in particular) the plot is usually ignored until the last two episodes and then it’s dumped on us in such a way that we feel A. bloated, B. confused and C. even more confused. Sure at the time this feeling of indulging in last minute plot may feel great, but when it comes to re-watching a show that you previously loved and realizing that it’s no longer as good because the majority of the episodes are weak in comparison to those ‘last two’ you gain a sense of depletion and hopelessness. HenNeko delivers in the plot and comedy aspects of its showing and whilst I’d like to complain about the lack of romance, I can’t. I’m not saying the romance is there, it’s not, it’s just that whenever Youto finds himself in a situation with a girl (namely Azusa and or Tsukiko) I can’t help but smile and fawn over the ‘implied’ romance, no matter how implicit!

The Steel Kings’ advance are… creepy. Let’s just get that out there. As much as I love Tsukushi, I can’t help but think of her as a sister loving, incest wanting pervert, who has a bad temper and abnormally large breasts. I’d just like to point out that breasts aren’t as shiny as they are portrayed in anime (as if you didn’t know) (it’s not as if I’ve enacted a scientific experiment to prove it or anything…) and Tsukushi’s… well they may well be the shiniest boobs I’ve ever seen! Which brings me to another point (before I return to… Tsukushi’s breasts…), the artwork is beautiful. I guess I’m just really into bright and alluring scenery? Out of all the shows I’ve seen this season it’s been this series’ artwork (not so much the animation… no, Shingeki and Suisei excel in that category…) that has blown me away the most amount of times. Whenever a beach scene occurs I’m immediately enthralled. Hell! Even night scenes, the darkest and supposedly blandest scenes of all, look amazing! I really do have to give J.C Staff credit where it’s due, this is awesome feat (I don’t use the word ‘awesome’ lightly you know! Like, seriously, why do people use that word so often? Awesome = to be in awe of something! It’s not something that should be overused… *goes of on random tangent*) and even Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo (another show I loved and another production of theirs) pales in comparison to this. I applaud you again, J.C Staff. Back to the point, Tsukushi is weird and her jelly boob antics arouse concern me.

So yeah, after all that exposition, here we are. Azuki Azusa. Her wish was… for… Youto to play with her bellybutton? Doesn’t this kinda make her a pervert? Now obviously the wish developed from their and Azusa had her wish come true but what about poor Youto? What if the season finale is him being sued by Azusa for attempted rape? Does he have an alibi? ‘Sorry judge, I was bewitched by an evil wish granting cat?’… I can definitely see this being a major plot twist… And for all two of you who didn’t know, that was a joke. I think it’s interesting to see Azusa’s attempts to lure Youto over to her side when he’s ever so clearly fawning over Tsukiko. Sometimes it annoys me in shows when one girl is sidelined in favor of another but the ‘main protagonist continues to indirectly pursue the same girl who has been ‘disregarded’ (School Days could learn a thing or two about that…) but in this show I seem to find that it doesn’t matter as much. Is it because I actually like Azusa and Tsukiko equally? Maybe. And is it because I know it’s probably for a comical affect? Yeah, that too. I guess what it comes down to is this… both the girls obviously love Youto and even though he’s obvious to all of this he’s still a likeable character and when three likeable characters interact we therefore receive an enjoyable experience. Phew, that was a mouthful. Speaking of mouthfuls, Tsukiko prepared the shows fine dinner of… Japanese food (don’t ask me to name any because I’ll just say something stereotypical/racist like sushi, sushi, fish, rice, dog (oh no wait that’s the Chinese (oh no wait that’s racist (oh no wait I shouldn’t discriminate and say only the Chinese can eat dog…) and sake… As in sake the drink not sake the sake sake sake. Yes. You understand. Tsukiko’s cute sound and dance filled my heart with joy and I was glad that for once she wasn’t constantly berating Youto for being a pervert or for being himself. Give the guy a break!

Overall, a very good episode. One of the best. And, as I was saying in the beginning, the world has ended. I didn’t think this show could be crazier than it already was but it is and it’s not an issue… not with me anyway. I’m really looking forward to the next episode… even though I know they’ll reverse the whole ‘end of the world’ thing by getting Tsukushi to take the wish back from the cat… sad really, a survival show would have been much more intriguing (I joke, it would not be… in this case anyway)

I very much like this show. The younger sister is just so…so cute. Also I like the main character even though he is played out as a typical airhead lead.

For a long time, I loved the design of Tsukiko since the first time I saw her, however after watch the first chapter Tsukushi fascinated me even more, and although Azuki yTsukiko are incredibly charming, Tsukushi’s is clearly my favorite.
