No…Tsumiki…stop…too cute! I’m dying…

Summary

Io and Tsumiki are friends who are denying their relationship – while Io isn’t aware that Tsumiki has a crush on him, Tsumiki is too tsundere to admit it. Acchi Kocchi follows their school lives together along with their other friends Mayoi, Hime and Sakaki.

Impression

I had no idea that this was a gag/skit comedy kind of show instead of one revolving around a plot, so I wasn’t too impressed by the first couple of minutes. Then the OP played, and it…was awesome. Seriously, it took me a while to finish watching because I kept going back to loop the OP over and over again xD

Tsumiki is far too cute for anyone’s good, I don’t think it’ll be good for my health if I watch this too religiously. Those cat ears that randomly pop up ^_^ She’s like a cross between Konata and Azu-nyan, taking the best of both characters. Io, you seriously don’t know what you’re missing. Hime was pretty cute as well, but she’s more of the ditzy airhead type who for some reason can’t play the claw game or air hockey properly. I didn’t think repeating an almost-same gag of slipping on a banana peel would be funny, but she somehow slipped on nothing o.O Or maybe it was the ice from the ground, I’m not sure.

What the show’s basically about is their everyday lives at school, with Tsumiki and Io always on the fence about their relationship and the others poking fun at them for it, especially Mayoi. It’d be good if the show could produce some recurring gags that would always be funny no matter how much its spammed or shown in a roundabout way – something like Mayoi’s troll with the school announcements.

To everyone in the classrooms, face the front and look to your right.
…There is a wall. *trollface*

Overall it was pretty hilarious. We always need one of these pure slice-of-life shows every season, and it looks like we’re slanting towards that instead of romance between Tsumiki and Io. I doubt they’ll actually get anywhere, since a lot of the humour is lost once the others don’t have any reason to tease them anymore. It’s a good show, but I don’t think I’ll be able to blog it since there really isn’t too much to talk about. If you need a reason to watch it at all, then do it for Tsumiki xD

Edit: I’ve changed my mind, I’ll be blogging it. This thing is too cute to pass up.

KYAAAAAA!!!!

This is awesome. The humour, the romance, the cuteness, the gag style, I love it all, and I want in on this.

Don't be like that, Tsumiki!!! YOU'RE TOO CUTE FOR ME TO WITHSTAND IT!!!

When this episode started off, I seriously didn’t know where it was going. It looked like it was going to be a romance show, but it felt so weird and… different. Tsukimi and Io definitely had something going on, however they weren’t particularly made to look very “generic romance type” people, and they definitely didn’t act like it. That is, until Tsukimi went to grab his coat and her friends showed up. Honestly, that was when my heart was shipped over. I decided that this show was going to be absolutely hilarious and waaaaaaay too cute for me to let go of it. I couldn’t stop laughing during the whole episode, and I will definitely be taking care of this with Vantage.

I can’t wait for another episode of cuteness!
