Last episode, Akise Aru used Eighth to approach Deus. There, he asked a question. The question posed by Akise Aru now brings the truth to light.

Akise Aru is suddenly attacked by Deus and it is revealed that Deus created him in this world in order to observe the events of the game and go after the diary holders. He concludes that if Akise can’t prove he exists in some form of his own free will, he’ll be disassembled and his life will be over. Akise Aru ponders his life as his body is literally broken down by Deus.

Several events and motivations are explained for him. Deus wanted him to follow Tenth because he tended to stay secluded. He wanted him to investigate Yuno because she is an integral part of the game. Aki finally notes that his love for Yuki is real, but Deus says it isn’t. But just in the knick of time all his friends manage to input his journal entries into a cell phone diary and he can reason then that his independent existence is proven by the diary Deus never planned for him to have.

Now the story has one key focus. Hinata, Mao, Kousaka, and Akise all want to save Yuki from Yuno, who they believe wants to win the game after being with him. So as they try and convince him to see the truth, Yuno tries to convince him that they’re all using him and trying to kill him. More and more she picks at his weaknesses until it seems more plausible. But Akise’s detective diary is incredibly powerful, and can predict all other diaries. Because of this he is able to best Yuno.

In fact, Hinata and co. seem to be getting through to Yuki, and they’re starting to make him see the truth. Deus admitted to Akise that you can’t bring a soul back, only a body, and Yuki is hurt to hear it but seems to start to understand…until Yuno proves just how insane and desperate she is. She stabs herself in order to best Akise’s diary, and uses his weakness for Yuki to her advantage. Afterall, if he just left Yuno to die what would Yuki think of him? Akise stops the bleeding and leaves her in order to rejoin Yuki, and as he calls him…something unfortunate happens.

she says it was a fake as Akise lays dying and Yuno and Yuki go to kill Eigth.

And Akise lies there, his throat slit open, and thinks about it.

How is it that she could open the fault? What does it have to do with this game to become god? How is it that she had two diaries?

Akise realizes the truth, but knows he cant say it. And so he walks slowly over to Yuki. Yuno is charging at him and yet he still walks forward, knowing he needs to tell Yuki the truth. Yuno CUTS OFF HIS HEAD. LITERALLY CUTS OFF HIS HEAD. SENDS IT FLYING And yet Akise’s dead body walks just one or two more steps forward and holds up the phone with the truth written on it.

And that, is where the episode ends.

Sorry, had to do that. That should be like the logo of the series, or something close to that.

Great Review. Keep up the good work.
