Okay guys this entry is going to be a lot different than my usuals. This isn’t a review, but more of a discussion post and fangirl over stuff.
Now before we start: THOSE WHO HAVEN’T CHECKED IT OUT YET, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING, AND WATCH IT NOW!!!!
So basically this was what Fate/Stay Night was going to be, but was rejected because they were concerned it wasn’t going to appeal to the audience back then- or so I heard. It’s a shame because it looks super badass. I can’t help but hope that maybe depending on the feedback about this OVA, they might actually consider making this into an official series (10 MINUTES OVA IS TOO SHORT!!!). It would be soooo awesome to see that happen!!!! I think it’d be also cool to see it as a game as well because this way it targets the female audience/gamers.
SAY HELLO TO FABULOUS BISHIE SABER!
He looks super fabulous, ultra adorable and badass at the same time! I LOVE THIS!!! There’s a few people in the Fate Fandom who aren’t a huge fan of (female) Saber being King Arthur when the man himself from is a male. So seeing the male version not only makes more sense but also more appealing.

OH WHAT THIS!? GILGAMESH (if it’s him) HAS A BOW AND ARROW!!!
Lancer’s character design doesn’t appeal to me much.
He doesn’t look too happy either lol.
Another thing that had perked up my interest was these crazy characters- especially the ladies!
This girl here has a thing for Saber. She’s dancing around in circles going, “SAAAABBERRRR! SABER~! SABER~” Judging by her obsessive attitude, she’s probably a serious threat.
This girl looks pretty creepy, but badass at the same time. I’m not sure who her servant is- I think it might be either Lancer or Archer. However I wouldn’t be surprised if it were Caster too since Caster is always messed up one way or another! 8D
O_____O I don’t think I want to know what that thing in her hand is. I’m pretty confident is from a body- a human body at that. Looks really messed up.
I’m pretty sure this guy here has Assassin (the pink haired dude beside him is the servant, he has the assassin robes and everything).
It would be awesome to see this become a full series. Saber’s character in this version doesn’t look as stiff as Saber has been in both Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night. He seems to be more social and friendlier, something in which I like. The heroine a lot looks to be a bit anti-social, uncertain and doesn’t have a lot of confidence. The rivals for the competition all look badass and from what we’ve seen, are mostly female which is quite different to what we’re used to seeing. I also adore the Master’s Command Marks’ designs, they are gorgeous!!!

YES. YES. I WANTED A LONGER VERSION TOO T_T
Just for your viewing enjoyment though, a quick rundown of Fate/Prototype info that didn’t make it into the OVA.
The badass looking black-haired woman is Lancer’s Master. It’s hilarious in a way that she ended up with him since she claims that she wanted to summon a Servant who was killed by a woman so he would know “how scary women truly are” but Lancer actually likes her a lot since she reminds him of his old teacher, Saccath XD;
The Servant who looks like Assassin is actually Rider, Perseus. His Master was used in a chimera experiment and was really weak as a result. He and Rider got to be good friends, but he died because of his weak body 7 days later, and used all three Command Spells to give Rider freedom, saying that he believes Rider will make a wish that will bring many people happiness. Rider’s main motivation is reviving his master though, since he was touched by his kindness.
GIL. He is about a hundred times less jerkass but still awesome XD I love his design for the prototype

Why is it, that most (this doesn't include Fate/Stay Night's Rider) Riders are like AWESOME AND TOTALLY BOND WITH THEIR MASTERS?! ;A;
