The Idolm@ster Episode 4: Chihaya’s Struggle
The Producer manages to get Chihaya, Haruka, Hibiki and Takane a chance to be on television to promote themselves. However with a change of plans for the show, the girls’ performance is canceled and they are left to compete in a cooking competition in a team of two. Chihaya ends up feeling very disappointed to hear that they wouldn’t be singing as well being concerned about her poor cooking skills and struggles to appeal to the show director.
This episode focused on Chihaya who was really disappointed that she couldn’t sing and wasn’t confident about taking part of a cooking competition. She’s a quiet girl but she has a wonderful voice. I do look forward to hearing more in the future.
I do also wonder what sort of conflict she is facing with her family as she lives alone due to circumstances. It sadden me that she didn’t join the others for something sweet treated by the Producer. She seems really isolated and alone and in a way doesn’t quite fit in with the whole group. It’s good to see that her team backs her up when she’s struggling on something or try to brighten her day.
Hibiki and her ability to communicate with animals (besides her own Hamster…. Hamzou is a hamster right???) never ceases to amuse me. It’s pretty funny, but really strange at the same time seeing her receive advice from the little creature who seems to understand things better than them. Well, animals DO have brains after all, they are smarter than they look.
I found it pretty cute how Takane loved the frog costume and even wanted to bring back the head. Perhaps someone will provide her own for her to keep in the future. XD
Last but not least… it might be a bit too early for me to judge Haruka…
But I dislike her, and I have no idea why.
Overall it was a decent episode, pretty bland, but I still managed to enjoy it a little bit.Powered by Sidelines
