Kaishou Rie goes to a party as her father’s Proxy and meets Yuuki Shinjuurou and his assistant Inga who takes on the investigation of a murder that occurs at the party.

First Impression:
The start of the episode was an eye catcher, but then suddenly it’s about a murder at the ball. Not that it was bad, it was just that the mystery itself was pretty easy to solve. Right off the bat I became suspicious of Atsuko the minute she handed Rei the drink that she’d be the murderer. Her intention was to let her husband die as a hero instead of being tainted by his arrest was unexpected since we knew nothing about the prior war and Kanou’s involvement.
Kaishou Rie seems to be trying to follow her father’s foot steps into becoming a great detective, or at the very least trying to imitate him as a good proxy when she was accused Kanda and Ono for the murder. It would be good to see her improve over time if she ends up having a lot of screen time.
As for Yuuki. He’s pretty awesome. It was interesting when he had said: By calling him in means a major murder will happen. Sure enough that’s what happened. Strangely enough, I found that we didn’t really see much of his character and learn much about him except for the fact he had received the public’s title as, “The Defeated Detective” despite having solved quite a bit of cases.
I ended up confuse with Igna’s gender after he had took on his true form and became a female. I don’t get it, but I love his power and creepy personality.
Extra Note: On November 19th 2011, UN-GO Episode 0: Inga-ron will air. This will be a pre-sequel to this show and tell us how Yuuki and Inga had met. I’m actually kind of surprised that they didn’t air this first.

    :O OMG MIKU!! That’s AWESOME!
Also, it’s a fact that this show is awesome ^.^. I think I love mysteries a bit too much though, I really liked Inga and his girl transformation as Shinjuurou’s boss, and I think the supernatural they tend to add in this will make the show much more interesting than a normal mystery.

Once you got Supernatural and Mystery together, it makes everything better BDb

I hope this one actually has a plot and doesn’t fall into mystery-of-the-week format Biblotheca Mystica de Dantalian style.
Also, Inga. I have a soft spot for whimsical characters and Inga… I think I’ll keep watching this show just for her.
