Fate/Zero Episode 1 [First Impression]
Eva’s First Impression:
WOOOOO!!!! YES YES YES! IT’S HERE! FATE/ZERO IS HERE, AND BOY WE’RE OFF ON AN EPIC START! 47 MINUTES EPISODE AND HOLY SHIT, I’M SUPER EXCITED THOUGH IT’S GOING TO SUCK REAL BAD SINCE IT LOOKS LIKE I’M GOING TO LIKE QUITE A FEW CHARACTERS AND IT’S PRETTY OBVIOUS, THEY ARE GOING TO DIE, ESPECIALLY KARIYA.
Speaking of Kariya, I already respect him very much and feel terrible seeing his current condition. His devotion to protect Sakura even though he was already a bit too late (as she has already been violated by the insects, poor kid D: THAT OLD MAN NEEDS TO DIE!!! D:<)
Emiya Kiritsugu, if any of you haven’t watched the original series Fate/Stay Night (which is technically the sequel to this since this is the pre-sequel), he was the one who had rescued Shirou in that series. I find it quite funny how both of them had summoned Saber, funny enough Shirou hadn’t even tried to summon her. It also looks like they have a similar reaction, but I doubt Emiya will be, “MY PROTECT HER BECAUSE SHE’S A WOMAN!!!!11”, he’s not that kind of character.
Besides he got Irisviel to protect, even though he already claims he’s going to be the fault for her death, be it direct kill or because she’s connected to him. He looks like he’s going to be pretty badass despite his insane successful assassination records.
I find that it’s very interesting how out of all the characters, Emiya and Kirei consider each other as a greater threat than anyone else in the war right off the bat, moreover it’s at each other. Emiya fears Kirei because of his lack of passion for life and Kirei is curious about Emiya and questions his reasons why he’d go out and do such suicidal missions and wonders what had he been looking for, and what had he found.
Man I’m in for both an epic, depressing and not to mention a gruesome ride. It really sucks when I already know the few characters I like, are all going to fucking die or be close to it. There’s only a few shows I watch that are R-17+ (Fate/Stay Night wasn’t bad considering therewere maybe four scenes of the 24 episodes I actually covered my eyes for) but this one, considering the type of characters we have is already raising a few warning flags.
I’m especially concerned about Ryuunosuke’s potential debut scene.
