AWWW WHY DID IT END THERE! JUST WHEN THE BATTLE WAS ABOUT TO START!!
So it turns out Assassin isn’t actually dead and that his death was a set up between the Church, Tohsaka, and Kirei. The only ones who we know is suspicious of the battle is Emiya.
I’m actually kind of annoyed that the Church, Tohsaka and Kirei are collaborating together in a sense that they are technically cheating. It also looks like Gilgamesh’s warning shouldn’t be taken lightly since I smell foreshadowing or a possible betrayal from him since he has his pride as a King.
Oh Saber you are so freaking cool! So fine in that suit and taking Irisviel’s new experience to the outside world into consideration and escort her around to explore.
I think it’s clear since episode one that at some point Irisviel is going to die. She is a puppet for the holy war and right now she’s imitating as Saber’s master while Emiya does the investigation and prepare for his battle. Irisviel mentioned that whenever Emiya is happy, he ends up in pain. Speaking of him, I’m also curious of whether he’s having an affair with his partner, but it doesn’t look like he actually has any love/lust interest in her and the kiss is only for comfort and reassurance or something.
Overall this was a slow paced episode, but it was still super awesome. I really love the partnership between Rider and Waver because it’s really hilarious. I hope neither of them will be gone or out of the battle anytime soon, otherwise I’ll be really sad.
Next week! Lancer VS Saber (SERIOUSLY WHAT’S WITH THESE TWO ALWAYS FIGHTING EACH OTHER FIRST?! LMAO!)
