Impression:
…. I don’t… what… Oh god I’m confused. This is like, so much information all in one shot, just holy shit- lets make a list of what happened now shall we? I can’t even write a summary of this.

  1. Sanetoshi talks about how he hates Fate
  2. We learn that Shou’s parents were really the blame for Momoka’s death along with several other people as they were part of an organization that bombed several different places within the city simultaneously. So I can’t help but think they might have been terrorists or something. We don’t exactly know the purpose behind their attacks, but according to their father, he said something about ‘for world peace’. Hopefully we’ll learn more about the purpose in the future. No matter how you look at it, it’s totally fucked up, not to mention a complete twist.
  3. We learned that for a time being, Tabuki was in denial that Momoka was dead.
  4. Himari dies because they had not successfully obtained the Penguindrum
  5. Shouma suddenly starts talking about Mary and her three little lambs. (He looked to be possessed when he was doing this).
  6. The story about Mary and her little lambs revolves how one day Mary finds the apple tree had withered and cried and cried and cried as the world had shrouded in darkness. Then suddenly she heard voices and saw two abnormally large black bunnies who encourage her to ‘borrow’ some ashes from the Goddess’ shrine to revive the tree and succeeds.
  7. Black Bunnies perhaps are Evil??? Maybe in this story they serve as the Devil?
  8. However The Goddess grew angry and decided to punish Mary because what she had done was a tabboo and by choosing the smallest and youngest of the three lambs (Himari) and declare a cruel fate, claiming it wouldn’t be a punishment if it weren’t unfair.
  9. It turns out that Tamba had given the Goddess half of his life so that he could saving Himari’s life
  10. The Goddess mentions how she can’t take the other half of his life because it won’t work the second time, despite that Tamba insists they try anyways but in the end, it doesn’t work.
  11. Then all the sudden. BAMF, Sanetoshi appears with an apple in his hands and two little servants behind him who are also carrying something who look almost like the dark rabbits.
*Looks up at list* God, I wouldn’t have been able to keep track of all that if I hadn’t taken notes.
This episode was like, amazing, but at the same time just way too much. Too much information all at once!!! BUT THE WEIRD PART WAS, IT WORKED. IT SOMEHOW FUCKING WORKED. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS SHOW TO BE COMPLICATED LIKE STEINS;GATE  (OR MAYBE IT’S MORE COMPLICATED THAN THAT, I DON’T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE) AND STUFF BECAUSE HOLY SHIT MAN, JUST WHAT?!
Anyways, um yeah so this is my entry for this show this week. I don’t usually do this but right now, this episode, I….My brain cannot even function properly after watching this episode, I don’t know how to describe it. It’s really overwhelming in a way ,and holy shit people, DON’T LOOK AWAY FROM THE SCREEN, DO NOT GET DISTRACTED, IF YOU LOOK AWAY FOR ONE SECOND YOU’RE GOING TO GET LOST. Do you have any idea how many times I had to rewind certain scenes because I knew I missed something? It was that fast with that much information.
Hopefully next week won’t be as overwhelming. It looks like their opponent Masoka may be giving them the penguindrum. It’s quite an eye catching preview (well not really a preview, but you get what I mean) this week since Masoka’s penguin shows up at their door and tosses in the Destiny Diary aka, possibly the Penguindrum (I’m STILL unsure about it).

…WHY IS HIMARI DEAD?!?!?! I DUN WANT HER TO DIEEEE D: Also, I didn’t quite understand the whole story of Mary and the 3 little lambs, but I think it’s related to the Penguindrum and maybe their parents who did something? That caused Himari to die, but then she came back, only to die again… This IS confusing XD. (BUT WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE?! D:)

I think there’s two situations that Mary and the three lambs have to do with:
      A) Like you said, their parents who were part of the organization of bombing the city and the consequence of that is binding their children to a cruel fate.
      B) Mary who had taken the Ashes from the shrine could be Tamba who’s been getting his hands on money (god knows how) to keep their family together. Keeping the family could be the ‘withered tree’ since it’s at risk of falling apart. The cost would be losing the one he cared about the most, his sister Himari.
Also I highly doubt that Himari is going to stay dead. But it would be terribly sad if it does end up like up.
