Poppo suggests they go and ask Menma’s mother to help them out get permission to get the fireworks, only the plan backfires when she gets emotional and starts acting up. After they left, Yukiatsu suggests that they stop doing this and tells him to stop dragging them around. Jintan then decides that he will grant Menma’s wish on his own.

Impression:
*BAWLING EYES OUT* OH MY FREAKING GOD. THIS WAS AN EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER!!!! MENMAAAAAA!!!! *HUGZ* FINALLY! FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY FINALLY YOU TOOK ACTION AND SHOWED THAT YOU ARE TRUELY THERE!!!!!! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR FAR TOO LONG, AND MY GOD *SOBS* I’M SO HAPPY THAT YOU FINALLY DID IT! NOW WOULD YOU PLEASE PICK UP A CUP OR SOMETHING TO REVEAL WHERE YOU ARE STANDING?!?!?! TAT/
This episode was a MAJOR tear jerker. Everyone is feeling guilty, Anaru finally confesses, everyone starts treating Jintan as if he’s crazy and stop believing him untill the last minute, Yukiatsu acted like an ass again (as usual), and most importantly, we learned that Menma’s mother despises them.
The one thing that was clarified this episode, that last week I thought and some other people thought the people who was in charge was Menma’s mother, but in fact it’s actually her father. And of course this make sense now since why the hell would Menma’s mother be involved in something like that when she barely leaves the house and is what I guess you could say, ‘Anti-Social’.
I’m very curious about what Jintan spoke to Menma’s brother about. I’m pretty sure he will be playing a role in retrieving the fireworks if possible. I think it was very important for Jintan for the first time to break down like he did today. Also, like I said last week, I think there’s an important message that Jintan’s mother had passed on to Menma because we keep on seeing that one particular flashback over and over again.
Overall, the episode really kicked it up a notch and the pace has improved. Like I said in the above, Menma is finally taking action, and this development is CRUCIAL!!!!!! OH MY GOD, I REALLY NEED TO STOCK UP ON MORE TISSUE BOXES BECAUSE I WON’T HAVE ANY LEFT FOR THE FINALE OTHERWISE!!! D:> Next week it looks like we’ll FINALLY get some backstory or something about Tsuruko – she is the only one we really don’t know much about, another thing to look forward to.

We don’t know too much about Poppo either, so just to get that point out there.

True, we may not know what kind of guilt he may be shouldering, but we do know quite a bit about his character. He has traveled around the world, met with shamans or whatever, very spiritual and optimistic. xD And that may reflex on how he feels or felt about Menma’s death. Perhaps it may be the reason why he wanted to travel around the world, basically live the life he wants when he can like there’s no tomorrow. *Shrugs*

This episode was just indeed awesome and tear jerking. The past few episodes weren’t truly the best but overall this anime is still amazing. I’m finally glad that Menma did something to make sure everyone believes that she still exist XD I really want all of them to see Menma already.
Also how many episodes are there going to be total?
